If anyone wants to do some rFactor2 online racing, my league runs rF2 single events regularly (no racing season yet- waiting on a stable version). On January 7th we are holding a rF2 race!

I used an existing mod, changed the engine cooling, put it on slimfast to lose some weight, gave it in-car adjustable ARB, gave it more engine vent settings, more ARB settings. It is SUBLIME to drive, if just a week bit light in the rear through corners.

They are different classes. Now rF2 will have a GT4, GT3 and a GT1 car from ISI. I hope the flesh out these classes with the cars from the real series FIA GT series.

They have a whole range of open wheel and tin tops to choose from- which is kinda of cool.

Forcing people to register is always a bad thing. It'll only lead to people picking offensive usernames and never using the forum again, which in return causes a lower activity quota (accounts vs. active accounts). Just saying.

The GT-R we have is the 2010/early2011 Spec wich raced against the C6.R on GT1 World.
 
Guys, when I load the Honda HSV Super GT500, I can't see the other cars but for their tires and driver. Anyone else have this issue>
 
But this Corvette is a different class, not GT1. It came out in different specs.

-As for SRP, it's a very good league and I'm not worried about griefers coming in- it'll happen anyway with any site. I don't expect problems with people having to join to get the mod. It'll get out anyway.

-as for the graphical issue, this mod is in beta stage and you have to have self detail and opponent detail on maximum.

Now you got me all confused! The Virtual R article says it is a GT1 car but I now see comments saying it is a GT-E car... So wich one is it? Any official confirmation from ISI?

I can confirm its the GTE car. The Rear Wing is a dead giveaway along with the nose.
 
So I just got this but I have a few problems. Whenever I go on track it puts me as the pace car. Which is just a steering wheel and tires. And is there any way to use any car on any track?

I hope we can develop this into a complete mod, but for now this is what we got for a beta mod.

That's the thing, on the early renderings of the car the nose was Z06 and the fenders were ZR-1. I can't tell if it's been fixed, but on the video there's a shot that shows the class badge I can't see it on my phone clearly enough to tell if it says GT-E or what... Maybe the color? GT-E is orange and GT-1 is green, but then again they could've gotten that wrong too...

Looking at that, its always been the GTE car, Just the site that posted it apparently mistaked it with the GT1 car.

That articule just added to my confusion, if you remember back when the game was first announced there was a screenshot with the planned cars in a corcule, that's the one I was talking about.

Found the picture I think you are talking about here. Looks like its been the GTE car all along.
 
Not exactly the picture I was refering to but close enough, only thing is you can't see the side of the car... That front shot is clearly GT-E, but the other picture showed GT-1 fenders wich was throwing people off back then.
Anyways wichever class it is I'm happy it'll be coming out soon! Hopefully next week!!
