This is what the tires are doing underneath you. I tried to get some shots of the tires loaded and unloaded, going over curbs and going through turns. This is not a canned effect. rF2 simulates all this and this is the graphical effect based on the stresses of the tire as calculated by the game engine. This is also why some people scratch their head when they look at rF2 and wonder why THAT runs at a relatively low frame rate. Your PC is doing a lot of stuff, much of it under the hood (or under the wheel well).

Tire modelling is most of the change between rF1 and rF2 and no other game does what rF2 does or does it as well.

I put a much higher res video up. Replaced the old video which was really hard to see the tire working in.

It is a triple screen replay and I use a software called Action to capture from the 3 screens!

OMG!!! Awesome setup you have wadji! Mine is similar but not as fancy. Beautiful mate, just beautiful. If we ever race you must give us a good head start :p

Speaking of racing, I had finally put together my server, but something isn't right. I intend on upgrading my sim PC later in the year, transfer what I have to the server. Fingers crossed.

I use DXTORY to capture, never heard of Action. You think it's better?

@ wadji, I tried the Action demo, it seems very nice but could not find a way to crop the video to my center monitor (1920x1080) as I can in DXTORY.

@ guybo; what mod is that? It looks very nice!

@ SRT7, I'm going to have to try a downpour in rF2, looks fun!
 
Guys, we are all friendly here, let's not argue please. I want us all to battle on the track at some point :)

I love the BES mod, it is obviously not quite finished, but it shows it's potential.

Guys, I have fallen into non-constructive feedback as well. Probably will again, it does not make it cool.

All I see is passionate "points of view" and differing opinions. We must respect each others views, like them or not. Let's respect that and not get personal. We are in these forums because we love SIM racing, in this thread due to rFactor 2 and the love to share what we know and find interesting.

I understand wadji and respect you and your point as well. However, I am sure we have all been a little guilty of using less than legal mods at some point. I know I have (<---GUILTY!!!). With such little content in rF2 at the moment, it's hard to resist the temptation. My philosophy is to wait for the original modders to react, often times they don't care or have had an agreement we may not be aware of.

To be clear, I am not taking the side of exploiting someone else's content. Although I understand and share guybo's (and your) enthusiasm for rF2, I am not taking his side on this. I just don't want us to get personal about these things, we are here to share and have fun! We are all GTplaneteers :gtpflag:

Too bad that Macau circuit has no realroad and was ripped from Race 07. I love Macau even if that version is not only useless due to permissions but also useless because of no realroad.

Let's hope someone can produce a good quality usable version of Macau!
 
There's a lot of 2013 F1 mods- what does this make- 4? There's this one, F1rft, the Codemasters F1 2013 conversion, the re-skinned ISI Marussia and is there another one too?

Not to crap on the mod or anything, but I really don't see what the big deal with another Megane mod is. 1) It's Meganes 2) It was the first content ISI came out with, we've had Meganes for 2 years.

I'm looking forward to the WSGT2 mod though. That looks like it'll be original high quality content in cars that will be a lot of fun to drive. Meganes are OK, just not really anything to get all excited about.

I hear you, I am excited because it is yet another good quality mod added to the list. Additionally, I hope this release means the Super GT mod from WSGT2 will be released in the not so distant future.
