haven't even tried it yet so I can't say what has changed, but this build has the groundwork code for the upcoming formula 2 mod 👍

physics:
----------------------------
turbo code
working turbo code minus intercooler (but we're ignoring the decreased charge density until that's in)
for turbos, made configurable the location of boost pressure measurement for wastegate purposes
fixed intake manifold pressure calc for turbos
:D turbocharger logic!

Alright, think I might get it now. Would really like to drive some 60s F1 cars on the Old Spa in the rain. My resistance is waning and I've just talked one of my brothers into splitting the cost.

Just a couple questions.
Will I need to make multiple installs in the future?
Should I put it in Program Files or on my desktop?
If on my desktop, what's the best root to allow multiple users on the PC to run it? Should I put another install on each person's desktop or one install in Program Files and one on my desktop?
Any must have mods out yet?
Also, if I DON'T get lifetime yet, what's the cost for me to get it in the future?

I have been too busy to stay on top of any developments. I am not sure how, or if, rF2 will allow multiple users. When it was announced I believe the new system allows only one user, I could be mistaken. It would be best for you to register at ISI's forums, if not already, and carefully research it.

As far as mods, none besides the Sauber BMW F1 and a few tracks. Most modders are in development, some waiting for the final release. I believe the investment is well worth it if you have the PC for it, but if you are expecting a deep level of mod options, don't spend the money yet. If you want to participate in CMS rF2 races, I think you will enjoy it. I would if I had the time.

For me it was a no brainer, I love driving the cars, however I get frustrated with the lack of mod and tracks. I hope my input helps you decide.

This, rF2 will be the best sim when more mods are released. For now, rF1 is better. I know there is a Lola prototype coming out this month or the next. Also, the rF2 graphics are way better than rF1. Expect to get bored fast.

Here are a few videos I made, they may give you an idea of where rF2 is and its potential;

I am trying the rF2 multiplayer. Anyone up for some quick races? I am in a Clio server.

PS; Just finished my first online race, a blast!

Alright, just made the purchase, but I have Build 90.
Can someone give me a list of files I need to download and in what order to get the 60s world class racing working correctly. Preferably torrents for the larger files (100 mb+).

CMS has a fun series race tonight at Mid Ohio with the Nissan 370.
If you do it I may stop by as well.

That race was this morning, I had to travel in the afternoon. I am hoping to be back Thursday evening, if there are any races over the weekend lets do it mate, let me know.

Lately I just join the open servers, some good racing there.

Running some 60s WCR online right now!
Great fun playing pin ball at Monaco in the rain haha

Hey Voltaic, have you tried getting a server going on rF2? Any different?
Because now is probably the time... :)

I have not, but I will look into it. If you have any direct links on the set up, please let me have them.

Has anyone tried the Formula Two? I did this evening and love it. Hope to do some Cleo or F2 racing this weekend.

I think it's awesome handling, BUT I have no sound and I can only drive it (as well as all other cars with the exception of WCR and Clio) in All Tracks and Vehicles. The new system is really annoying me with the mod manager. :banghead:

I found it to be quite frustrating. I seem to get low speed rear end sliding quite a lot, despite being very careful with the throttle. On an unrubbered track it's quite a handful.

@ gogatrs

I do not like the mod management either to be honest, I can't understand why it is so convoluted. As far as the sound, you may be better off trying to uninstall then reinstall the mod, otherwise you may need to reinstall rF2 :/

@ Imari

I find it takes me 2+ laps to properly warm up the tires. It may be an ISI issue and how they approach their mods. The good news is they tend to listen to feedback.

Looks like that's it. :(
