Build configurations? I wonder what that means? Maybe one is bare bones (like rFactor Lite) and one includes the current ISI content?
 
Maybe it's the pubblic demo with all the old tracks/cars like Portgal, Malesia.....updated with new textures,shaders.....!
Tim had said that they would have updated all the olds circuits of rF2, to bring them in the same graphic standard of the recent ISI circuits, like LRP! then they would have released the pubblic demo!
Ps: I hope that my English is good!
 
If anyone is interested, I'm putting on a fun run tomorrow night that will start at about 9 eastern and run all night and into the new day.

More info...

this will be the first time running my server in a public setting. The server is hosted on a 2nd PC in my home. So tomorrow is sort of a test run. I've run it with a few friends and everything has gone smoothly so far, but I'm not sure how many people my connection will handle. I have pretty decent internet so I should be able to handle a good sized room I think.

If everything goes well tomorrow, this will probably become a weekly thing.

Glad to see people developing classic sports cars for rF2 now.

Lack of a classic sports car like a Shelby Cobra or a Ferrari 250GTO is one of my biggest complaints about iRacing (I only bring it up because it's my primary sim but also my primary source of gaming grief). The more I see stuff like this, the more excited I get.

gogatrs, I got the last item which was the power supply, but it was a bad one. I hope to exchange it and test the server's hardware this coming weekend. After that it will be a matter of setting up the rF2 server software and test it. So hopefully it will be running in a week or two.


FYI, The Wizard has a nice server running, we raced last Friday and it was a blast, though few showed up. I'll be asking him for help with my server.
 
Unfortunately I won't be able to run a server tomorrow as both Michigan teams are in the Sweet 16 and both games are tomorrow night. I'll be watching those instead.

It'll return next Friday though and I'd like to run the 370Z somewhere. I'm thinking Mid Ohio but am open to other suggestions.

Also, good luck with your server Voltaic. If you get your hardware up and running this weekend let me know and we can try to get the software side going as well.

Bummer, I was looking forward to some racing Friday.

I'll install the new PSU tomorrow, hopefully it will work this time, if so I'll contact you. Thanks Wizard and good luck to your teams!
 
Did anyone else here buy the T5 mod for rF2? After de-installing, including the skins, re-installing the 3rd new car does not appear.

PS: Never mind on this, I finally got the car to show up.

gogatrs, I installed the PSU last night, it will not start. It may be an issue with the case and will have to investigate. What a pain.

So what happens when you hit the power button? Nothing at all?

Are there lights on your motherboard to tell you if it's at least getting power?

Honestly I don't see any indication of power coming through. I will be working on it shortly and share more information. Thanks Wizard.
 
Update:

Turns out the Case Power Switch Cables were not connected to the Power Button!!!

The PC has started, but I wasted a lot of time figuring out what was wrong since the unplugged case cables were hidden at the front of the case. I intend to install Win7 tomorrow, then rF2 on the PC/Server.
