I'll be there around midnight again (maybe 11:30 if i'm lucky). Hopefully more people will stick around this time.

edit: and I haven't downloaded the mod yet.

That car irritated the hell out of me last night. Is it just me or is it really, really easy to lock up the brakes on that thing. I started playing with brake balance and pressure to make it less sensitive and eventually have up on it lol

Are u racing Sat evening or next Friday? Want to participate.

We are currently using The Wiz's server, he has set up Friday evenings for some GTPers racing. Please join us next Friday!

I am hoping to have my own server soon, the box is set but I need a monitor to finish. I'll be looking for one this coming week, time permitting, then if it all goes well I'll have Wiz help me set up the rF2 server which we can use other weekend nights.

Ok. Please keep me/us posted. Have never anything but the AI on Rf2. What cars again? Thanks

So I keep meaning to get info & downloads for the Friday races posted earlier in the week to hopefully gain a little more exposure. Unfortunately, life seems to get in the way more often than I'd like.

I hope to have full info & downloads posted tomorrow. Sorry for the wait.

I do know we'll be running at 2 tracks this week. Blackwood & Essington Park. Grab them at the links below if you don't have them...

Essington Park can be found here - http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/9368-Essington-Park-by-IsR

Blackwood here - http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/10735-Blackwood-track-conversion

No final decision yet on the car, but am leaning toward the Corvette or the GT-R. Might even run both. If you have some input here, I'd love to hear it. Both of these can be a handful, so you can choose to run low ABS and low TCS if you want.

I didn't have too much trouble unless I had to really slam the brake hard. I had my pressure at 86% with a 68/32 split. I also run my brake sensitivity at 80% in my control set, which seems to help as well.

I'll be there Wiz!!!

Great track selection, love the Vette though it may prove a challenge for some. The GTR may be more forgiving.

Come join us folks...

Fun Run #3 April 12th starting @ 9pm Eastern.

Decided to save the Vette for next week.

Nissan GT-R only @ Essington Park & Blackwood GP. Same format as before. 15 to 20 minute races with roughly 10 minutes of Q in between. Tracks will switch after every race.

rFmod can be found here HERE

Live Monitor HERE & Hotlaps HERE

You can hop on and get some practice in now if you wish, as the server is up and running, splitting time with both tracks. Each track should be up for about 2 hours, then it will switch.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Hope to see some of you out there! :)

It may be just me jumping on the brakes to hard. I spend most of my time in the Mustang and Star Mazda in iRacing where you can really stand on the brakes without an issue so I guess I just need to spend more time with rF2.

The GT-R sounds like fun btw, I'll definitely try to get on again this week. Hopefully we can get some more people on

Apparently driver swap is now working in rF2...

http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/threads/driver-swap-tutorial.67966/

Not sure if you have to be a member to view that link.

Expect to see this being used soon in an upcoming Saturday event I'm planning. :) I'd like to practice this before the event is run though.

Also, sneak peak at this Friday... Historic Grand Prix @ Brianza.

YES!
My favorite rF1 feature is BACK!
Let's do a 1 hour FIA GT style event. Two drivers per car!

This weeks Friday night fun run will be the Historic F2 cars @ Brianza 10K & Old Hockenheim.

Old Hockenheim can be found here - http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.p...eim-1960-0-85-by-motorfx?highlight=hockenheim

Server is not live yet, but will be sometime tomorrow for practice.

Hope to see some new faces out there this week. :)

Sorry again for not getting it posted sooner.

Yes! I'd love to do something like this. Let's work out some details in the near future for a practice run and if everything goes well, I say we put together something perhaps even a little longer.

My only concern, if it were to be run on my server, is I have no idea yet what size room I can accommodate. My internet speed is 30/4... not sure what that speed can handle. Does anyone know?

30/4 mbs?
We'd have to have a rule of no spectating until 5 minutes before you're supposed to get in the car or something of that sort.

If you can run a normal race fine, it should be alright.

Yeah. Though my download usually checks out higher.

The no spectating, 5 minute rule is definitely a good idea...

I'm just not sure yet if I can run a normal race. The most simultaneous users I've had on my server so far is 5. I'd definitely want to test more users somehow before coordinating this driver swap race. I'd hate to put it all together, have everyone show up only to have my server not be able to handle it.

I think Friday nights are just not a good time slot for getting a big room together. Perhaps in the next week or two I'll put something else together for a Saturday test race, hopefully drawing a bigger crowd and putting some stress on my server.

All that said, I wouldn't expect to see a driver swap race for a few weeks at least. At least not on my server.

I'll try my best to keep this idea moving forward. :)

Anyone tried the new Vette yet? Much improved from the few laps I did at Limerock... What's everyone's take?

My favorite car in sim racing right now. I have never driven a C6R (duh) but this just feels "right". I am using a CSW and I feel so much information through the wheel. The car is much more save-able but still steps out easily. You definitely need to watch your inputs at slow speeds.
