Some changes to the bonuses

Car Weight Development
  • 1 in 3 chance of breaking down
  • 4% (was 3%) weight reduction

Fuel Consumption Development
  • 1 in 4.5 chance of breaking down
  • 10% (was 15%) better fuel mileage. Average fuel run for every car is 11 laps, this will let you go 12 laps.

Reliability & Pit Crew Development
  • 1 in 6 chance of breaking down
  • +40 seconds faster damage repair. A normal pit stop takes 43 seconds for service. To repair a broken wing or splitter, it takes an extra 50 seconds. With this bonus repairing a broken wing or splitter only takes 10 extra seconds instead of 50.
  • 25% better front splitter and wing damage resistance
  • 5 (was 3) seconds faster pit stops.

This. This so much.

- Little to no chance of breaking down is always useful
- Damage is pretty much insta-fix
- If the rFactor AI is anywhere near the GTR2 AI, you'll WANT that extra damage resistance
- Because they're not on drugs :lol:

Attached the near-final ones from me. I'm pretty pleased with how they're turning out.

Looks like I have work to do then! Thanks guys, if allowed of course! Feeling the camaraderie when 1st and 3rd in the last championship offer 2nd a helping hand each!

@swiftsmith I'll see what I can do. No timescale but I'll likely start with these as I'll unveil liveries close to date I suspect...

EDIT: If running as a new entry, can I reserve #17 & #23 please?

No! This is not acceptable! Both of you are excellent competitors and consistently at the front.

If ANYONE is giving up spots, as the least capable competitor I will surrender my entry.

I'm also looking at WinRAR and WinZip, anyone have a preference? I used 7-zip before, rather not deal with it again.

Would it not be a good handicap for the 3 consistently at the top to only have 2 cars any? I know it was a chance happening, but it has worked out in that way...

@swiftsmith do you want the #50 on yellow and red car, or as it was on your Red Bull Swift Autosport livery? @aarror I did the Red Bull last season anyway so if I start there we can then meet in the middle, if you're doing the yellow and red one?

I guess this is official. So need to know what numbers optiongamers and peasantslayer are giving up. And which car did are you going to use pezzarinho17?

Also I may add rules to assist 2 car teams so they're not at too much of a disadvantage.

Guys, Im going to make a spotter guide, or at least the template of what it will be. Heres the humble start, sort of ordinary now. Dont worry, this is just a test, I dont consider anybody's livery 'final' so you can still make changes.

Quick question regarding the windows/windscreen templates: are we even using those, and if so, will they actually be transparent? Again, not sure exactly how rFactor works, but, speaking from GTR2 experience, I doubt they'll actually be that partially transparent a window normally is when the textures aren't and I'm not seeing that on the templates (if that makes any sense whatsoever. I'm bad at describing things, deal with it :P )
 
Bit the bullet and downloaded the WinRAR trial. Waiting on Steam to finish so I can get the rest of what I need.

EDIT: Got the stuff for me, I'll wait to get others until later. Does it matter what details on the Lambo get used?

Well, Im not exactly sure how the windows work, but I do believe they are transparent.

At the moment we have 12 three car teams and 6 two car teams. My experience from these bspec/fantasy leagues is that alot of people will sign up in the first couple of days, and then it really drops off after that. Part of the reason for going with 3 cars was to ensure a full field. If everyone went to 2 cars we would need 6 more people to sign up, and Im not so sure we could get 6 more people. Also, theres something very cool about the possibility of some team finishing 1-2-3 in class

If you dont paint the extra parts or windshield it will default to a basic color, best thing to do is get a test livery up and I can work with you in a private conversation on previewing how it looks like and getting it right
