i bought a brand new (no miles) FORD SVT F-150 LIGHTNING and im going to run it until it dies with NO OIL CHANGES
(after initial oil change), fully upgraded with oil change it had 678 HP.

OIL LIGHT COMES ON AT 4000 MILES !!!

Good luck in your adventure, that's gotta take forever! I take it you're having it on b-spec, right?
 
do you think this will really kill it? it's likely the game is just applying "worn engine" and "dirty oil" and now "damamged engine" modifiers to your car. i reckon eventually it will get to something over 500hp and stop. still, it's interesting to see how long it takes, keep going :)
 
i dont think it will kill it, but i was curious as to how much HP would be lost, in GT3 there was a 5% loss of power and im way past that in GT4 :sly:
 
Well i've made an interesting discovery of my own, your mileage neither goes up nor down when going in reverse... went around the test course in my trusty 323 (with miles on it already) and they didn't move, the entire way :)

no it hasnt, i just ran CLUBMAN STAGE ROUTE 5 100 LAPS & INFINEON RACEWAY STOCK CAR COURSE 400 LAPS and my HP is still at 591 so i that might be the lowest its going to go, the only way to know for sure is to do some more testing.

im going to change the oil after a couple more tests to see how much HP is recovered ;)

so 591 seems like the lowest its going to go?did you try over revving it? like laps around the test course in 1st or any gear just bouncing off the rev limiter? 💡

yes, its over reving and only going 70 mph 👍
 
u should have ran a 1/4 time befor u put the miles on it and after u put ur thousands of miles on it to see if it does indeed affect the cars performance or if it just lowers hp but keeps its poise.

-or buy a another one hook it up with same mods as the mileage one and run a 1/4
-then run the one ur beating to death and see what 1/4 u get

I'd really like u to do that to see the power loss.
If u could do that for me id appreciate it.
