Just bought the Murcielago. I am surpriced by the lacking performance compared to my tuned Corvette Z06.
I wonder whether the problem is with the transmission, i.e. gears being too long.

What is your experience?

Go back to a stock Vette, or mod the Lambo, and make your comparison again.

Overall i didn't like any of the lambo's performance until the aventador came.

EDIT: i didn't like the aventador performance at top speed tests.

The heavy weight mixing with the extremely wide track, tall-ish gearing(not viper tall, THATS tall gearing) and non-racing oriented suspension setup all play huge parts in this, and thats if youre talking about the Lp-640.

Stock vs Stock the LP640(or 670)-4 is much faster than a Z06.. Tuned is the same story.
It just has long gearing, don't pay attention to how fast the RPM build, pay attention to how fast the speed builds..

Pretty damn quick for a roadcar, in my experience. I did some testing on Motegi East with a bunch of supercars, and it was remarkably close to the Ferrari Enzo in Laptimes (might have even been quicker). And it was easy to drive too, until right on the ragged edge, where the heavy, high mounted engine and relatively simple chassis dynamics came into play.

PS:That is the greatest misuse of YOUR/YOU'RE I've ever seen. :)

I'm sorry i forgot the miura i liked its performance actually, but the others didn't get the performance that they deserve.

The aventador when it came i thought it would be insanely fast it was until you reach high speed conditions lets me just say until you reach 360 kph ( maybe less maybe more ) its over for you.

Here's some times around Nurburgring GP/F for you.
It's up to you to decide if it's fast or not...

The Murcielago LP640-4 is a tad slow.. And really close to a stock Z06 (C6). You'd think it should be much faster, but it's weight and handling kills it.. Ok, it's not like it's slow.. But slower than you'd expect.
The LP670-4 is a different story though.
Sits at 3rd, only beaten by the Bugatti Veyron and McLaren F1.. That's mighty fast. 👍

It wasn't my intention to hurt people with that '.

The stock Murcielago is on par with the Corvette horsepower wise, but it is much heavier.

Tuned the Lambo and got another problem: a horrible computerized sound. The Vette too sounded better from stock.
Is this a general GT5 problem?

the lambo is faster than the zo6 all around at over 600 pp.. keep lambo of high speed banked corners though they dont like that.. the aventador is pretty slow to me

Z06 struggles with SH but works fine with SS or SM. The Murc is actually quite fast and planted around the corners, but it understeers heavily once it comes out of the corner. I would pick the Z06 anyday though, you can kick the rear-end out and drift. :sly:
