Notes :

A basic build of Abarth 500 with aim to be fun to drive, highly recommend to fit front CS and rear CM for better replication of the rear semi trailing arm with beam axle grip level. The stock LSD is open, the Drexler LSD option can be used to stabilize the car more. Alternatively, run zero rear toe when using Drexler LSD.

Highly recommend as well to drive without ABS/brake assist fitting CS front and CM rear, be prepared to counter steer :)

Notes :

This is one of the oldest replica I have made, it was originally made in GT5. Tire is CH and make no mistake, even on CH, this car is still quite nimble and grippy.

Suspension springs uses real life OEM spring rate adapted as the value as usual, too low to reach.
I have included optional rear damper compression from 2 to 6, the lower compression than base 7, will give more roll, travel/height change and camber/toe changes under load, this will give more lively rear end as the rear spring is quite soft.
LSD is stock as it perform very well already for the power level and tire grip.
Brakes are set at 3/3 to reflect the car OEM brake performance, even this may be too high, but this is a good compromise. Don't be afraid to brake deep, trail braking is recommended and don't be afraid to explore rear end grip limit, with rear damper compression at 7, the limit is quite high on CH tire.
Tested at Rome and Deep Forest, able to lap 1:38s at Rome and 1:44s at Deep Forest on CH tire and base suspension.
This replica is a great starting car for driving pleasure on low power FR, and should give a good base for learning suspension and LSD tuning.
Both replay of the run included, Enjoy :D

Wow! Sub 1-minute lap around Tsukuba... This vehicle is amazing.

Are they going to re-design the GT-R any time soon? Hasn't the R35 been floating around since 2007? That's about 10 years...

What's amazing is the Mine's and Amuse GTR both got into 59s with limited power tuning and more on weight savings :) The tires still use GTR JDM factory tires, either Dunlop or Bridgestone, the SH is a bit overkill on longitudinal acceleration ( straight line acceleration/braking ) but pretty close on lateral grip. CS had it the other way around :grumpy:, luckily when tested online with tire wear/fuel, SH came very close to real life onboard cam lap performance, from braking point, shift point, cornering speed etc.

I'm doing final touch on Ford GT40 MK1 1966 build, it's on CH and can be driven up to 485HP :mischievous: Testing at Trial Mountain, Deep Forest, Apricot Hill Reverse, Rome, and Brands Hatch.

Notes :

This build is special 550PP based on the replica of 458 Lightweight spec, the notes has been quoted above for background information. This time, the only change I made is weight, employing more weight reduction parts, more ballast weight and slightly different position. Power has been reduced to fit into 550PP mark. Everything else is the same.

The 550PP version is specialized for racing hard tire, it has excellent balance and traction ability, while remaining predictable on the limit. The build also drives very nice on comfort soft to sports soft tires.

The motivation of this build was from someone I met online while I hosted track day room. He mentioned about a 458 Italia 550PP tune from here on GTP, saying it was great to drive, praising it to no end.

So, I got curious and tried the tune. I build the tune using tab A on the replica I made, I build to exact spec, including brake balance with racing brakes which was high as the tune was made on assist ( ABS and may have been TC as well from the way the car setup )

I specifically tested it at Apricot Hill Reverse, a great track that I have been using for awhile now for testing/tuning cars. I fitted sports tire as per tune, and drove it for several laps, immediately I noticed several issues, like low speed traction, sudden mid corner push, and unpredictable balance on the limit that often cause sudden front end tight/loose transition. I noticed the high ride height difference being compensated using ARB, with damper not being optimal, most likely being masked by the assist used and the ballast positioning working against the ride height exploit.

I tried my replica next to see if it works on sports tire, on tab C, fitted same sports tire, reduce the power to 550PP, made some changes to weight, used 112mm track height, drove it for several laps, and smiled :) Then I fitted racing hard tire to see how well the replica setup hold on high grip tire, and it did well.

If you find the car too tight under throttle and brake, reduce both accel and braking of LSD by 1 each time until you find a sweet spot. Do both together to maintain balance.

The 550PP 458 able to lap 1:22s at Apricot Hill Reverse on RH tire with ease. Don't be afraid to explore the car cornering ability, on 3rd gear corners, throttle often can be flat out without drama.

Standing start with the car is simple on RH tire, put it in 1st gear, rev to 5k to 6k RPM ( holding brakes ), release brake, launch hard and be ready to shift to 2nd quickly. It will launch like AWD car.
Pretty good tune. Was running this tune at the ring (Nordschleife) this afternoon, but have to substantially reduce LSD to about 10 for all values.

Nonetheless not sure why it seems to be rather unstable when exiting the off camber bends. Any suggestion would be much appreciated and thanks!

Was currently limited to 7 min lap time because of above but would seriously hope to improve to 6 45 to be competitive in online races.

My 1st suggestion is to increase rear damper compression by 1, so increase it to 4. Does the unstable rear causing lost traction only or also oversteer/while still turning ? Increasing front damper extension by 1 may also help, try rear compression increase, see how it goes for you then try the front extension. Hope these will help.

Thank you for the quick response. Will try your suggestion when the wife releases the TV! It seems that oversteer is the culprit although the car was cruising at snail-like pace with barely any gas. Thanks again!

Just being curious, why does an increase in front extension damper help with rear wheel overseer? Am pretty new to tuning and would really love to learn from experienced tuners like yourself,.......Alan

The higher front extension damper keep the weight longer on the front axle when on throttle, lessening the weight transfer to the rear, this may lower the steering response on light front end cars like MR, so best to increase it by 1 and see how it goes :) Increasing rear compression helps with reducing squat or loss of traction by resisting more of the weight being sent to it, but too high is also bad. Increasing rear compression by 1 while keeping the rest the same may induce slight understeer when on throttle ( depending on the car )

Notes :

2016 Nissan NISMO GTR replica built with power spec from stock NISMO GTR 2016 dyno, on stock 15.2 Psi of boost, stock mapping and about 93 octane fuel, 505 wheel HP on Powerdyne ( Mustang Dyno - usually about 10% lower than other dyno readings like DynoJet ) and 542 wheel HP on Dyno Log, calculated around 654HP engine. More can be had with better fuel like in Japanese domestic NISMO GTR with 98-100 octane fuel, about 30-40+ HP more / near 700PS in stock form  This is why a stock NISMO GTR could pull 2.xxs 0-100 kmh and high 10s 0-400m ( quarter mile ) on full weight ( fuel/driver )

Suspension uses previously posted Ohlins kit for N-Attack NISMO GTR, but this time, I improved the damper and ARB setup.
The base GT6 weight 1730kg uses weight reduction stage 1 with max ballast, while the heaviest running weight uses only window weight reduction.

Tested online ( with tire wear/fuel consumption at normal ) at Red Bull Ring, 1:43s on full fuel load CS tire and Tsukuba 1:01s ( full fuel ) CS. Also tested offline with CS tire at SSR X for drag time performance, 0-100 kmh in high 2s and 0-400m in high 10s, pretty close to real stock NISMO GTR drag performance.

Like I said on the Mine's GTR, SH tire maybe be closer to real life performance when online with tire wear. Try the 591PP specs on SH, it may win as well :D

I apologise for the low quality video. It is phone recorded.

Great driving danbojte. Your pursuit of the Enzo & Huayra on Lap 5 was fantastic. Incredibly smooth driving...and not having to resort to overly aggressive, push 'em outta the way, driving is so much nicer to see. Just a great video all around!

I hear ya. Unfortunately, unless you have the proper equipment it is not possible to create beautiful videos from the PS3. :( Supposedly Sony has improved that substantially with the PS4 - so sharing videos is a breeze compared to the PS3, I've heard.

Notes :
One of few Japanese Civic EK tuner car with big turbine kit fitted, weight reduction down to only driver seat + race oriented reinforcements, race spec suspension, 5 speed cross mission ( shorter gearing ) giving extreme performance for a civic. This requires the car to be fitted with S tire ( R Compound semi slick tires )-The Top Fuel Zero 1000 uses soft /R compound semi slick tire in The Best Motoring Tuned Car Battle at Tsukuba, and in GT6 equals to sports medium.

The car is tuned to replicate the real car as close as possible, the real car has Super Racing type N1 Coil Over with very high spring rate not available in GT6, so I opted to use the lower spring rate of Super Racing Circuit Master RS ( works just as good ). LSD is replicated - ATS Carbon 1.5 way, this time the LSD is one of the cars strength alongside the potent Circuit Master RS coilovers, able to give great response and traction. Base LSD is medium preload at 22/.

Camber has been tweaked to perform better in GT6, if going for real life spec, camber front should be 3.6, while rear stays the same 1.3. ( if one can post close lap time to real lap time with the 3.6 front camber, then the FF beast is tamed )

The real car is capable of 1:02.57 at Tsukuba during test lap and definitely can get better lap time as it has some brake fade issue ( causing sporadic understeer ), my test best lap time ( driving to replicate similar pace + line to the Best Motoring video ) is 1:01.9xx using sports medium 3.6/1.3 camber and no aids ( with stick giving perfect shifts - with H shifter and wheel, the lap time would be closer )

To get the best of the car, drive like a pro driver would in real life, smooth steering, trail brake, exit with smooth gradual throttle especially on low speed exit ( 2nd or 3rd gear corner ), only full on when certain you won't lift off anymore.

Enjoy

UPDATE 1.16 : Fixes on weight distribution, camber, toe, ARB. The car is now capable of 1:01s at Tsukuba with high camber 3.6/1.3

Added ATS 5 Speed Cross Mission ( Close Ratio ), both standard module and large module 1-3-4-5 gear set with 3 final drive ( 4.400 stock and ATS High Final 4.785 + 4.928 )

UPDATE September 2016 1.22 :
Added new base damper with focus on rotation, old original suspension is now optional.
Added stance alignment, with optional extreme toe in/toe out.
For Stance Alignment, body rigidity is optional, do not install it if wanted less tightness. Flat floor also optional, but highly recommended to install it for better grip overall and easier to handle. Without flat floor the car will much faster in top speed/acceleration but less stable with stance alignment ( entry oversteer and less braking distance )

The Top Fuel Civic has been updated, added new base suspension with updated damper, stance alignment/ride height with optional extreme toe. Tested the stance alignment at Rome 1:19s and Matterhorn Short 27s on SM tire. Enjoy :D

Tested too, SM tires with -10.0/-10.0 camber. Paste from other thread:
Tried that, high cambers with given toe values makes wheel user bit uncomfortable, front wheels tries to dive under hood and rear floats bit when it's not "keeping body on straight line". BUT I tried also with slight modification on tune, only on toe values and used front -1.00 and rear can be used ±0.05 or more around +0.10. (+0.05)
+0.10 rear toe gives average turn on corners. (+0.05)
+0.05 rear toe "locks" rear and car has tendency to push on slow corners.(+0.00)
+0.15 rear toe makes rear alive, minor tendency to oversteer during corner entry.(+0.10)
First with 75/85 and on bold 75/75

GT6 masks slightly handling on DS3(2) controller, wheel tells lot more where tire tries to travel due toe.
Good tune anyhow :)

So I had to alter tune ;)

The Honda AP2 S2000 Club Racer was the last run limited edition with numerous changes to the normal S2000. Most of the changes are mechanical from suspension, hardtop, sports muffler, to rumored ECU tuning, while visually the new front spoiler and rear wing not only for looks but also provide reduction in lift.

The weight spec are available in 2 options for this build, base is no hard top weight while power uses 262HP. Suspension uses Honda published data and OEM spring test report, with front 7.0 kg/mm and rear 6.2 kg/mm rate. Damper have been uprated, stiffer roll bar on both ends, as well as cross brace fitment in the real car, these are reflected in damper/ARB update on the replica.

Other improvement in the real car are quicker steering ratio, wider rear tire at 255/40 R17 ( Potenza RE070 - ultra performance stickier tire, a special R version used on R35 GTR as factory equipment ), front spoiler and rear wing ( replicated with GT Auto Aero ), and sports muffler ( sports exhaust fitment ).

There is also special Club Racer paint color : Apex Blue, which closest I have is GT6 Polarized 018 or Azzuro.

I tested the CR at Apricot Hill Reverse and Tsukuba. Honda claimed over 2 seconds faster at Tsukuba than the base original S2000 ( AP1 ) which has 1:08s lap record. 1:06s lap time is expected on CS tire or the optional CS/SH tire combo ( if you want to have stickier rear to approximate the real car wider rear tires )
You know I built this a while ago don't you ;). I was going to do one of my "magazine" reviews but couldn't really say much more about it than @LeGeNd-1 said in his review :).

I decided to take it out on the new seasonals and see how it did in the heat of battle (Only ran about 50 miles of Andalusian asphalt ribbon in her previously ;)). Unsurprisingly the beginner level event at Autumn Ring mini offered up no real challenge...other than the usual "Big slow thing" moving slowly where the apex should be, that is :mischievous:. The balance of the S2K club racer just let me drive round the outside of them with ease for the most part :). I developed a nice little rhythm with her here. The gear ratios worked perfectly and soon had me making a lovely soundtrack to accompany the cars dancing through the corner complexes. God, you gotta love that V-tech :D.

I guess you would have to be either , brave or :dopey:, to think of using it for the 550pp Intermediate race at Apricot Hill....wouldn't you. Thankfully I am, at least one of those ;).
And did try anyway. Took a couple of attempts as I got into a little trouble the first time round, battling with the RUF early on :(. But after having a decent remainder of a race and only losing out by about 1.5 seconds. The second race went a lot better đź‘Ť. I managed to cut through the field with ease, due to having the lighter, far better handling car. But for two idiots in Vipers fighting in front of me  and a 599 coming back on track after loosing a fight with Mr. Dean in his LFA . Who I managed to catch with around a lap and a quarter to go.
After a tough fight to keep up with him in the straight, I made the pass out of turn 4/5 (left/right uphill turns đź‘Ť) only to loose the lead marginally before braking in the look, the again before the hairpin and again after the hairpin :banghead: (Damn that LFA goes some :)) but the superior agility of Honda's finest was too much for the big heavy Lexus in the final chicane and the victory was assured as I exited the final corner flat-out....and weaved a couple of times to keep him guessing :mischievous:. Took the win by 0.087 .

Absolutely stunning car to drive. A must have for any self respecting driver/racer/car lover :D:tup: (Massive Honda bias withstanding ) Awesome job mate

Ya know, now that I think about it...Ridox has done a wonderful job with the Honda's (and Acura's). There were a few cars that I just flat out refused to drive (from the dealership) until I applied one of his setups. They weren't my favorite cars or anything, but at least I knew that if I were going to drive something in that particular car class, I could be confident to be driving something really good. The NSX's were pretty fabulous though! It's funny. I was never a huge fan of the NSX in its early years. I don't know why. It's not like I hated it or anything...but I just didn't care for it. It really wasn't until GT6 that I really fell in love with the car. The respect was always there, but it wasn't until Ridox Garage setups that I actually looked forward to driving one.

The NSX is the reason I fell in love with the GT games to begin with. I can remember back in the first one, it was the car that taught me how to drive :). I struggled so much with it doing some MR challenge races that it forced me to really start to focus and practice more :). Ridox's NSX replicas are top notch, I've enjoyed many hours driving most of them...The S2000s too :).
I've even went as far as too have the boys in the garage "modify" a few of them for personal use :odd:. Don't worry, nothing more than the odd aftermarket option or two :sly:. What can I say, sometimes you just need a little shorter final gear for a bit more get up and go :D.

Thank you guys for the kind words, and the review on the S2000 :) I have been playing some other games this past week, will get into GT6 again, planning to post GT40 MkI road car, it's unique car and on CH it's a challenging, the build can't be accurate due to the way PD treat the car with mixed/incorrect specs :(

Those original GT40s required a lot of respect lest you end up on an unchartered path into the scenery. Only the very best could tame them.
Hey Ridox, have you had any luck finding someone who'll run with you in this car for any longer than 3 minutes? ;)
If I was online, I'd take the Pepsi challenge & see how many laps we could cut at the Nordschleife in the pouring rain together :mischievous:
