I'm afraid it's none of the above Alb. The closest thing to it in GT6 is the Legacy Touring wagon.

iRTKNitMLj6vBC6aH_0.jpg

Pumping suspension bit higher on Legacy and it surely goes close to outback, I'll try that car, trying to make high running Nordschleife cruiser.

Gonna check also Impreza stw specs, probably with bit more weight and height it suits, wheelbase is close.

No oil
Sports exhaust to get same 256hp
200kg ballast @-7
All rest just stock, you're free to use this as base for better cruiser, I'll settle on simply solution what definitely feels nice cruiser.
Comfort Soft (stock)
175/175 height
3.89/5.96 (~1.13*stock due added weight)
4/4
5/5
5/5
0.8/0.6
-0.08/+0.03
Bb 5/5

Salute @TurnLeft
^ went 8:50.840 on Nordschleife, even time is left biased, car left wing got scratches during lap.. Salute.
Chamonix main shows this car nature, if @TurnLeft Outback behaved even close to this on snow/gravel it's easy to understand how car can made bond to driver. 4:00.932

Notes :

A simple replica of 2008/2009 last run AP2 S2000, using dyno power data of around 210+ WHP in stock form on roller chassis dyno, using about 15-16% power loss, I used 250HP as base power. A JDM spec AP2 could pull more power with 100 Octane fuel, in the range of 260+HP or close to 242+PS on DynaPack ( not 100% confirmed ), I include this as optional.

The stock spring rate can be used this time, with OEM range alignment. Tested at Apricot Hill Reverse on CM tire, able to lap in 1:43s.

The real life record for Tsukuba is 1:07.725 in 2007, try to get close with CS tire ( online or offline )

Notes :

A simple build using Nick McMillen onboard video run at Spa driving the GTR GT3. I set the power to achieve similar speeds on the straight/acceleration as McMillen lap. Springs for Base setup is custom using stiff range of springs ( which front has extensive range for options ), while the soft setup is calculated from NISMO GTR RC springs set adapted with weight reduction in mind. The Soft setup may be better for bumpy tracks or if you want softer ride that may be used in other games that featured GTR GT3. I also included lower front camber if you want to try them, base is with 4.4 front camber, you can lower it to 4.0 / 3.5 / 3.0.

For gear ratios, use stock or the corrected 6 speed Hewland SL Series ( used catalogue ratio ) or use custom Xtrac ratios that I used on the Brands Hatch test. LSD uses low preload as base, higher preload is optional, better suited for high speed tracks like oval or Monza with no chicane or La Sarthe no chicane.

Aero also have several options, I build the car with max front aero from the start, and rear is balanced between medium/high speed balance and top speed ( top speed required to hit same speed as McMillen lap at Spa ) You can lower or raise the rear aero, do it by 25 values, beware that going lower than 475 may make it loose, and higher than 475 tighten the car on medium to high speed. I tested rear at 550, works well on Base springs.

Tested ( using Schulze Motorsport GTR GT3 ) at Spa, it did 2:22s on RH and at Brands Hatch GP 1:26s on medium pace RH/Xtrac ratios ( all on balanced aero 350/475 ) Replay of the Brands Hatch run included

@LeGeNd-1 , I have posted some new cars, the S2000 and NISMO GTR GT3 above might interests you :)

Going to tests lots of R35 GTR replicas on my next play :D Mine's, Amuse, Club Track, 45th Ed :)

Thanks mate 👍 It's definitely on the cards for me to test. Will be interesting to compare with the GTR from the GTS build I tried.

I haven't forgotten your garage, but work has just been killing me these last few weeks :banghead: I'll try to get some runs during the weekend. No promises though.

Ha! Finally! You nailed it my friend. I have opted for the soft version, stock tranny and 550 Rear downforce. It's a big pleasure to drive it. 👍

Notes :

The Mugen Civic RR is limited edition Civic Type R, with unique Mugen parts not available anywhere else. The car has some lightweight parts, reducing weight by 15kg, more power at 240PS and special suspension/wheel package. The car sold out in minutes when sold in Japan.

The suspension this time is unique, I set the damper with funky values, make no mistake, it works :D Beware of oversteer on this baby, drive it hard but still watch the rear when braking hard, especially without ABS.

The car lap record at Tsukuba is 1:06.688 on presumably S tire ( Bridgestone RE070 R ), this can be done on SH tires.

Notes :

The extreme carbon body Mugen Civic RR Advanced Concept was a special car by Honda, built with many custom special parts by Mugen.

Power are in 2 level, official Mugen figure at 260PS ( which is underrated IMO as it can't hit the speeds of the real car lap record with that power at Tsukuba ), and adjusted power using 260PS as at wheel DynaPack, to get 285PS, which match perfectly to the telemetry data - top speed at Tsukuba before each braking point. Use whichever you deemed more accurate, but I recommend the 285PS.

Suspension is the same as the Mugen Civic RR setup, while gear ratio, the Mugen RR Advanced Concept uses custom close ratio 6 speed, with close range 2nd - 3rd - 4th and 5th gear. I calculated and manually set at the track to hit the speed at specific RPM as in telemetry data ( from chart and video telemetry ). It's as accurate as it can be, as no solid information available on the precise ratios used.

Tested at Tsukuba, the tire closest is SH, but it still has too much lateral grip. CS can't get it to hit the required speeds on braking point and lacking in straight line traction. With SH, the car is about a second faster than the real car offline, online with tire wear/fuel consumption that will be closer. Aim for 1:04.906, mixing SH front and CS rear works well, I tested it offline with 285PS, 1:04s, online will be very close, but beware of oversteer :P

Here is the telemetry chart, not detailed but should give idea what speed to reach before each braking point, aim 171kmh on 1st turn, 160kmh on last hairpin and 181kmh on last turn. The gear ratio provided should be accurate.

61.jpg

EDIT : Added SH front and CS rear, tested offline at Tsukuba, works well to get closer to lap record and cornering speed. Beware of oversteer though, it's alive !!! :D

@Ridox2JZGTE or anyone else who knows... What exactly is Wangan Midnight? Is that like a story? Or a series of stories? I've fallen in love with this layout that comes from Wangan Mignight...but since Assetto Corsa doesn't support night time racing, "midnight" doesn't really apply. Is it just a PS3 game? I'm so confused. But, I absolutely love haulin' butt on these highways!! It's so long and big with crazy highspeed turns... So fun! :D

Full movie is on youtube, its terrible but could have been great if the cars actually exceeded the speed limit in the racing scenes, also an anime series

It's from manga / graphic novel, story about young man obsession with a car and high speed racing, the S30 240Z called Devil Z ( Twin turbo L28 with over 600PS ) is the main protagonist ride and his arc rival Blackbird ( RUF CTR ) driven by a surgeon.

There's PS2 game ( I have this ) and PS3 version ( don't have it :( )

Notes :

The 45th Anniversary GTR was released in 2015, in limited edition paint as used in the R34 GTR, Silica Breath Metallic. Based on the 550PS spec GTR, I used dyno power of JDM GTR, calculating based on the power gain of NISMO GTR and dyno numbers from 530PS GTR from 2011. Power set at 600HP, approximated with 100 octane fuel as the 530PS spec GTR has around 560PS when dynoed.

I used special Ohlins Road & Track suspension package in this build with SH tire as base. The SH tire seems to be the closest in terms of lateral grip, but it has a bit too much traction out of corners. The older Black Edition with 530PS spec did 1:00.727 back in 2011 at Tsukuba, the 45th Anniversary should be able to do this online with tire wear/fuel consumption using SH tire.

Now that I hear those names Devil Z and Blackbird, I do remember that you explained this to me once before Ridox. Thanks for refreshing my memory. And thank you, @Jimmy Haight. I've been driving this non-stop. I don't know if this means anything to you or not, but it's a layout called Shuto Expressway C1 - there is an Inner & Outer loop. Supposedly this 'track' was ripped from the PS3 game called "Wangan Midnight". I do now remember Ridox telling me about the crazy HP in the Blackbird! :D I'm going to have to take my own "Blackbird" (just a repainted Yellowbird Hah!) for a rip around these roads. They're so long and fun to drive. Unfortunately, true night time racing isn't supported due to a weakness in the game engine, but someone has come up with a PP Filter that helps simulate dusk/dawn as long as you set the time as far as it will go, either the latest setting or the earliest clock setting.

This is what it looks like in plain 'ole fashion:

This is what it looks like with the Post-Processing Filter activated and time of day adjustment. Its not great, but it's acceptable if you want to drive this awesome Expressway:

Wangan Midnight licensed game with AC engine = delicious :) I still play the PS2 Wangan Midnight, glad that you find such kind of racing fun, I have been doing mock up highway battle since GT5 with hybriding, it was awesome when people looked at my car in SSR7 highway battle lobby, and ask, "Is that Devil Z, for real ?" or "Devil Z huh, I'll kick your ass", then we raced :P They were surprised when realized it had the power and the turbo

I have to admit it's never really been my thing but some of the cars do sound like a bit of fun to drive.
I do have to wonder though, just how much money the owner of Devil Z spent developing the L28 twin turbo. I'm betting he lunched at least a few motors on the way. Wouldn't he have been better off using the RB26? Off the shelf parts a plenty and that sort of HP is a cruise for such a well developed engine. It's also a popular restomod conversion & what I'd do if I wanted a turbo pumping that kind of power.

The L28 TT is like a unicorn engine, it was made in manga, very rare chance that a real one existed with that much power, Star Road ( real tuner ) made 300HP NA L28 S30 replica of Devil Z which was in Hot Version battle at Motegi Oval vs RWB Porsche Turbo, R32 GTR, Supra and Ferrari 512M :( Maybe with unlimited budget and extreme love of L28, someone could make one, a reliable twin turbo L28 with over 600HP doing 300kmh speed run day after day without breaking a sweat.

RB26 do sounds much more realistic in terms of cost and reliability :) I think Akio ( Devil Z owner ) upgraded his car to RB26 eventually ( not sure in manga or anime )

Damn! Fooled by a unicorn again :embarrassed:

I know a NA L28 will put out around 300HP from a guy that used to rally an S30 280Z down here in Victoria. He was running triple Weber sidedraught carbs and that thing sounded evil.
As spectators, we used to think 'Lockie' Greig hated us as his rear tyres peppered us with gravel :scared:
Advice: when spectating at a gravel rally, stand on the inside of the corners :) 👍

@Ridox2JZGTE I'm very sorry that I made you think I was directing those comments at you, in the PS4/XBox AC thread. I can see how you might have interpreted those comments the way you did, but I'm here to give you my word, they were not directed at you, or anyone specifically, at all. They were just a general collection of thoughts I've been having and since that's the thread that people come to, to see if they want to buy the game or not, I placed those comments there. I've considered you a good friend for over two years and if I ever had a serious disagreement with you, I would take it to a PM before ever airing dirty laundry in an open forum post. Plus, I don't think I ever would have a serious disagreement with you because we think so much alike!! :D

Honestly, I didn't even know what a "Playstation Neo" is. I've seen you mention the term "Neo" a few times in the past, but I didn't know that it was a Playstation 4. For all I knew, it could have been some handheld gaming system or whatever. I don't know squat about gaming, in general, let alone cutting edge hardware! :boggled:

Again, I'm sorry that I upset you. That would never be my intention. You have provided me with countless hours of fun because of your Replica Garage - I consider all the regular visitors to your garage my friends whether we are playing the same racing game at the moment or not. That's why this garage, the fan club thread and EAG are the only GT6 related places that I still follow. I'm really only interested in what you, Pete, danbojte, TC, OdeFinn, Brewguy and the other regulars are up to now that I'm not playing GT6 anymore. Hopefully I will be playing with all of you or at least some of you on a future racing game! :)

Now that I've gotten that out of the way...

Would this 240Z be acceptable to make a Devil Z?

I think the Devil Z needs wider wheel arches, don't you think?? Unfortunately, without modelling my own car body from scratch that might be the best I could do...Although, there are some other cars that look close, but I don't know if they'd be any closer to the Devil Z. Keep in mind, that I could paint the body of any of these cars any color I wish:

http://assetto-db.com/cars/Nissan

Seeing that these are all mod cars - most likely with ripped meshes from Forza - I could make all sorts of adjustments to the engine, suspension, aerodynamics, ride height....you name it. Every single file would be available for tweaking without having to unpack that data.acd file like with official Kunos cars.

Let me know if you think it'd be worthwhile. This might make for a good exercise in tweaking car physics even if it doesn't make a perfect Devil Z.

No worries mate :) I don't have issue with you, I understand how you feel :) Let's hug  For NEO, yeah, that is the new PS4, if I am going to buy a PS4, might as well get the NEO, not the vanilla one.

I'm not upset, I may sound like that from the words of my post, but trust me, I'm very cool headed guy in real life :)
For AC, I have certain fear that the PS4 console will be very limiting for me, y know when it comes to making replicas :P But I will still get it for driving experience and hopefully I will open a garage here on GTP once I have the game.

For Devil Z, that looks great actually for something to work on :) Just need wider tread tires ( rear needs to be wider ), the wheel flare needs a little work ( color ) and the car lowered.

With engine, you would need L28 carb sounds, not sure the mod have a Forza sounds as well, but you may be able to use that. Suspension, recommend to start with 8kg/mm spring front and 6kg/mm rear ( not sure about wheel rate ) You should do this, just play around and see how each changes affect the car ( physics ).

Here are some shots from Hot Version which feature the Star Road Garage S30 L28 with 300HP, the visual look of the car is very closely replicated, from paintjob to stance/ride height, but the rear tires still need to be wider ( it's non turbo anyway ). But, first the anime Akuma Z ( Devil Z )

Thanks @Ridox2JZGTE -- I was very stressed out that you thought I was directing hostile comments at you. I'm glad to learn that you didn't really feel that way. Anyway, I'm glad we got that cleared up! ::bro hug:: :D Unfortunately, I do think you are 100% correct that Assetto Corsa is going to be very limiting on PS4/XBox One compared to the PC version. I watched a recent review video and I couldn't believe how many basic options are not available in the console version, let alone the big one of not being able to install mod cars/tracks. Especially for a guy like yourself, who loves to tinker, tweak & adjust I hate the fact that can't be done on the console version. Hopefully the driving experience is at least worthwhile for console players. I'm just very disappointed at the fairly big differences between the two versions, console & PC. Kunos claims the driving/physics/force feedback/AI will all be the same on console & PC, so I guess that's the most important thing, but if you were able to modify cars I know you would enjoy AC so much more. There pretty much isn't anything you can't tweak:

Some day you'll probably replace that laptop and I'll be more than happy to pay for your PC copy of whatever version they're on just so I could drive your creations.

Thank you for the reference photos for a Devil Z. I believe I have the source 3D file for a 240Z. I'll have to check my file server. Hopefully I can import the model into 3dsmax and make some subtle adjustments to the body. If I'm able to do that, I may have a lot of questions for you. :D I'll need a lot of help in figuring out how to setup the suspension, drivetrain, engine, etc.. That could be a fun project though...

Even if I have great PC, I doubt I can spare that much time doing mods :( Life takes over :)

If you need information on 240Z, there's no better source than someone who owns one and in the process of building it in real : @TheCrazySwede , check his member ride thread : https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/my-datsun-fairlady-z-rebuilding-a-japanese-classic.265880
