2nd 2.067
3rd 1.625
4th 1.316
5th 1.111
6th 0.960
Set Final : 3.286 or shorter : 3.769 for better acceleration/less top speed.

AERO:
REAR : 20

Brake Balance:
4/4 ( personal BB) or for ABS 0 wheel : 4/4, for ABS 1 - feel free to use your preferred brake balance. I recommend to run 5/5 for ABS 1 or 1 click higher at the rear.

Recommended setting for DS3 user :

Steering sensitivity at +1 or +2, all aids off, except ABS 1 ( if not comfortable with ABS 0 ) with 4/4 brake balance as starting point.

Notes :
Lotus Evora has great track record in the GT4 class, the car was built in collaboration with Cosworth, who provide the powerplant, tuned to output 360PS. The car weighs 1200kg with 39/61 weight distribution. The MR layout provides excellent traction and good handling balance.

Suspension uses Eibach race springs and Ohlins TTX 4 way damper kit ( optional ), the base model comes with 2 way damper instead. I tuned the springs based on the real car motion ratio/whee rate, settled for 650 lb/in / 900 lb/in spring rate. I also made the damper stiffer as the car has considerable rake to mimic real life ride height setup. ARB, camber and toe are set to balance the springs and the stiff damper.

Gearing uses Xtrac 426 6 speed sequential with sintered dual plate clutch, so I fitted twin plate clutch and set the gearing using ratios from Xtrac 426 catalogue. The gearing provides good acceleration and top speed on the 3.286 final ( there are 2 final ratio option from Xtrac 426 that can be used ). A higher final 3.769 is used when the car is driven on the track with lower top speed required.

LSD in this replica is quite unique, I used 2 way setup with high initial + high locking rate, and it works well for the Evora GT4. This still allows for freedom when trail braking with the rear rotates nicely.

I tuned and tested the car mainly at Silverstone GP, aiming to replicate real life lap time. Target was 2:14-2:15s. During testing, the Evora managed 2:13s on 1.08 ( camber still broken ).

Please leave feedback as I haven't tested the car on 1.09 :D

UPDATE 1.09 : Credits to @cbarbosa, added another LSD setup with lower accel value at 27 for more manageable corner exit.

UPDATE 1.11 : Added additional suspension setup built for enhanced stability, credits to @danbojte for the rear spring rate test ( 15.18 ) and @ColinH96 for feedback on my tweak suggestions. This updated suspension offers easier handling and more refined on the edge behavior.
Tested at Silverstone GP, managed to beat the old time at 2:11.4xxx  Crazy fast for 355HP/1200kg car. The Evora also tested at Nordschleife, handles okay there, should be great for 500PP racing.

UPDATE 1.11 V2 : Added additional suspension setup using no rake / equal ride height. This will add eagerness to rotate due to the reversed ride height effect bug.
I have tweaked the damper extension front and rear to accommodate the changes, as well as readjusted the ARB to control the body roll and the added rotation.

I also have added softer spring rate setup with higher ride height ( by 10mm ) for bumpy tracks like Bathurst and Nordschleife. The car will still need smooth steering, but the added freedom to rotate mid corner will help the car easier to negotiate tight corners. The added body roll will be helpful as cushion / early warning before traction is lost, it is also highly recommended to use the original LSD setup ( 20/48/48 ) to maintain optimum traction. Avoid curbs and grass is paramount :P

ENJOY

Notes :
This special replica is one of the most enjoyable car to drive :)

The Lexus IS F in GT6 is a bit of a mess, a lot of inaccuracy, from power to weight specs. This particular build is replicating a stock powered Lexus IS F with aftermarket suspension and LSD to replace the awful brake based E-LSD that came from factory.

Power is 416HP, in GT6, the IS F came stock with too much power and way too light. Official curb weight is at 1715kg with 54/46 distribution. This figure is with full fuel tank.

For the suspension, I chose Ohlins Road and Track DFV coilover kit. With spring rate at 100N/mm and 60N/mm, the aim is to allow the IS F to be driven with comfort on the street, but also can double as weekend track warrior with good performance. I provided 3 sets of setup, 3 different ride height, stock, 15mm lowered preset from Ohlins and lowest -35mm ride height possible from the Ohlins R&T coilover.

For stock ride height, I used factory street alignment, while the lowered ride height are setup with optimal camber based on the Lexus manual factory alignment.

Factory camber alignment range : F -0.87 +- 0.75 and R -0.78 +- 0.75
Factory toe angle alignment range : F 0.18mm +- 2mm, R 3mm +- 2mm ( all are toe in value - positive ) GT6 values for toe in degree : F 0.02 +- 0.16, R 0.24 +- 0.16 - all base values are total toe in ( + )

LSD is 1.5 way OS Giken SuperLock with high preload and medium lock for balance on the street and track.

I tuned and tested mainly at Tsukuba, aiming to replicate real life record at 1:07.09. This is achievable on comfort medium tire. My test laps were in 1:06s. The replica was built in 1.08, please leave any feedback when driven on 1.09 :D

ENJOY

Hey @Having a little issue with the Specs. For weight and weight split, I need to add 53kg of ballast at 50 to get 1200kg with 39/69 split with weight reduction stage 2 applied. Not sure why I'm getting different figures here, everything else is matching up ok. Right weight, right power/torque the lot. Any Ideas?

Going to take her for a run now, hopefully it can take my mind off some crazy LMP I'm :banghead: with.

Oops, will fix it in a few minutes. @Thorin Cain : Fixed, 53kg at position 47, 39/61, thanks for pointing out. Hope the car drives okay :P

No problem, it happens to us all:tup:

Just had a little exploratory drive round The Matterhorn (Before the fix.) , I know it wasn't tuned for that but I like to drive round there at the moment, especially at sunrise/sunset.:D

First impressions are very good, I've been working with that LMP with SRF off, which is not normal for me and I couldn't really tell I still had it off when I drove this Evora. Nicely planted in the mid-fast sweepers and still agile enough to get round the tighter turns. Going to do a few more runs round Brands Hatch and Red Bull Ring for a good going over(Don't really like Silverstone much.) and maybe somewhere a bit flatter like Indy.

Ok, breaktime's over.

Decided to skip Indy after the other two and went to Motegi Road Course instead. I had that much fun there that I went to Monte Carlo as a treat. Nice versatile tune! As I'm sure you hear a lot, this is an absolute pleasure to drive....anywhere:) I want to go buy me a wheel just for that car!

Thanks again for sharing your work:cheers: that's only the second of your replicas I've tried I think, and one thing's for sure. I'm coming back for more!

I can here an Italian or two calling...:D

Take it easy, I'm off back to the test track. Have a good one and keep em comin'!

Much Respect:gtpflag:

ENJOY

Silverstone GP Test Lap - Best so far 2:15:554 on Sports Soft

This tune reminds me a lot the Gallardo GT4, it has the feeling of a kart (rotation). Another great tune, no BS! :mischievous:. Only one note, high throttle management is needed exiting corners, remembering the old Porsche "mantra"... Maybe a little adjustment on Acc Sensitivity...
Will leave feedback on racing later... 👍

:) The car needs some throttle hold at 70+% on low speed turns, and you are right, lowering the LSD accel is a good way to make it easier on exit, I would suggest to lower the accel to 44, then 40, then 36, until you find it much more manageable :) 2:15.5xxx time is very good, similar to the times in real life :)

Now, what will be the next GT4 :P They are all untested on 1.09

@Pete05 : Maybe you will be interested to try the Evora GT4 :)

I guess I can add your LSD into the tune :) Initial 27/ accel 27 and brake 48 ? 2:13s is a very respectable time, seems like you are enjoying the car :D

Almost forgot, there are actually 4 secret GT4 cars :P

👍 Yes, 27/27/48. I used the increments you recommended (44, 40, 36...) and got the time mentioned with 27. Still only a suggestion, though... It adpated to my driving style...
Yup, grip machines are great, but the thrill of controlling high acc LSDs are a great exercise to evolve in GT6... So this car is perfect...

Is here any reason why the specs of the IS-F are different from the dealership to the garage. I have noticed this on a few cars but none more than the IS-F.
Dealer 417Hp/1690KG
Garage 445Hp/1623KG

Hey ridox. im new here but I have been following ur tunes for some time. I like ur presentation and the way you set ur tunes up more than any other tuner. To bring not only real life specs to gran turismo cars but the real life parts specs too, is really witty. You got style. And regardless of if the cars are the fastest or not, Its always the most exciting when you come up with your presentations. You have added to the life span of gran turismo for me. keep em coming. you are original and very thorough.

Seems like one of PD's employee making a mess again  1690kg would be closer to weight figure with about half tank of fuel. I don't know why PD allowed this to happen, different numbers between garage and dealership ... not all cars though.

Notes :

This replica is very hard to built with very limited information available on the car. Early 2013, the car was on the news, it may have been the first 86 built for GT4 class.

The GPRM Ltd who built the car stated it has 350-400HP with turbo added. Not much else was disclosed, so I have to improvise. I used the base model for CS V3 Cup car as a base setup for the GT4 car. Suspension uses similar spring rate with revised ride height and tweaking on the damper, ARB, toe and camber. The real car uses Eibach Sportsline coil springs and Koni 2 way fully adjustable damper.

LSD uses high preload 1.5 way with medium/high lock 55/75 to replicate Salisbury type diff used on the GPRM GT86 GT4. I leave the gearbox in stock form as it's more than enough to do the job and quite versatile on various tracks ( the real car has 6 speed sequential conversion but may still uses stock ratio as the Brit24 86 car also built GPRM uses stock ratio ). Weight distribution has also been fixed ( similar to the CS V3 Cup car ) The weight figure is slightly less than CS V3 Cup 86, with 1190kg, I pick this value considering the GT4 car has stripped out interior, perspex windows, lightened body shell and similar chassis modification to CS V3 Cup.

For closer performance compared to other GT4 cars, I decided on 399HP power using mid rpm turbo, this allows the GT86 to lap quite close to real life times at Silverstone GP. During testing, the car is capable of 2:13s lap on SS tire.

Notes :
The Nissan GTR is one of the car that I have so many in the garage  Ever since GT5, I had about 20 of these at all times and in GT6, I have about 10 or so now, all are replicas.

This one is the most basic replica, with stock tune and some corrections on power, suspension and weight distribution.

Power has been reduced to 473HP / 480PS to reflect official power as tested on Best Motoring, weight at 1740kg ( official curb weight value ) and weight distribution at 55/45 - as measured from corner weight.

I researched quite a lot to find the CBA-R35 GTR 1st gen spring rate, then I stumbled a GTR owner who had a chance to speak with one of the Nissan GTR key engineer during a special GTR promo event. He posted the spring rate, many doubted him, but after doing more research on later model year spring rate increase and the NISMO package, I decided to believe and used it for this replica build.

Stock spring rate : F 550lb/in and R 300lb/in, this translate to F 9.82kg/mm and R 5.36kg/mm ( rounded for GT6 ) Stock ride height is retained, with damper has been tweaked for optimum handling balance and ARB to reduce push on entry, soft but not harsh. The Nissan GTR spring rate gets higher/changed every model year from 2008 onwards.

Camber and toe uses early GTR factory manual alignment presets, later models have 3 preset, daily city driving, sports and track. The changes are very minor, slightly higher camber and similar toe range. For this replica, I provided 2 preset, daily/city/street and sports/track. I obtained these from GTR forum, taken from early gen GTR manual. Another 2 are my own personal setup based on the factory alignment. Try all of them and notice the difference, pick one that suits you best, or simply play around with the value range.

I mainly tested the car at Tsukuba and Motegi Road Course. These 2 tracks have been the proving grounds for the GTR on Best Motoring show.

Keiichi Tsuchiya posted 1:02.125 lap time at Tsukuba on stock GTR with Dunlop OEM tires. Aim for this time or better.
In 2009, MCR owned Nissan GTR '09 model, in stock form, driven by Keiichi Tsuchiya posted a best lap of 1:01.931 at Tsukuba  My test lap was 1:01.4xxx on 2nd lap run using my personal setup sports/track alignment preset.

Naoki Hattori posted 2:07.600 lap time at Motegi Road Course on stock GTR with Dunlop OEM - SP Sport 600 DSST tires. My test lap was 2:07.4xxx on 1st lap run using my personal setup street/daily driving alignment preset.

If you want added challenge, run the car at Nordschleife and aim to beat 7:26.700, driven by the legend Toshio Suzuki ( 480PS/1740kg ) back in 2008.

ENJOY

Thanks for the LSD, forgot to type that :) Edited the tune.

I see you are using 2.5 camber :) How does the 3.0 camber at the front drives ? Any issue with the car ? I always welcomed feedback on my cars, keep posting :P

The car does not have any issues. I noticed that in low speed corners/low gears (mainly 2nd gear) the car tends to understeer with 3.0 camber. But this only happens on low speed cornering. I was running 2:17 with 3.0 camber, and after a few more laps and lowering the camber by increments until 2.5 i managed the 2:15...

Still trying to figure out how to get to 2:13... :P

Besides this, the car is great. Like I said, it needs to be treated like a race car, after exiting corners you cannot hit the full gas (like real car)... Like the 370Z... Maybe a little touch on the LSD Accel. Sensitivity will do...

EDIT: Will do the GTR asap...

To get into 2:13s, you need to get at least 1:35s or maybe low 1:36 last sector ( long straight before the right hander that leads to the chicane ).
For understeer, I didn't encounter much of this, which is why I pushed the camber to 3.0, it may be from driving style :) If you can, try 3.0 camber but lower the front ARB to 5 or 4, this will allow more weight transfer between front wheels on lower speed corners at the expense of less responsive steering.

The main key for quick lap on this car is to maintain speed through the faster corners, the 1st high speed turn, and most of the medium speed/high speed curve needs to be taken with the least braking as possible.

On corner exits, the car does needs some throttle hold at about 75% during most low speed corners, then full throttle is possible just as the car is almost straight. You can lower the initial and accel by 2, should give the effect :)

I may upload the replay of my run if you are interested :)

... your right, its hard to explain, maybe its not understeer, it must be related to my driving style...
I manage to get the first section quick, the car does his job, the problem are the S curves, that´s where I loose time... If you can manage that replay, please do it so I can study it...

Screenshot_2.jpg

Im going to revert the camber to 3.0 and change the ARB... and try to use a more aggressive driving style. I will post any changes later...

Many Thanks. :)

For the s curves, take the entry wide from the right side ( should be above 210kmh ), clip the curb on the left, but don't go too far, or the car will jump over and lose direction. Quickly steer to the right while applying slight braking or lift off - should above 100mph/160kmh, then apply more brake to hit the apex on the left ( steer smoothly from the right side ), maintain speed at around 140kmh or above, you can accelerate for a few moment before steering to the right to hit the next apex, usually you can go over the curb here, at around 130kmh, then apply throttle gradually to full on the left leading to the long straight. I will upload my replay when I get on PS3 next time.

I may upload the replay of my run if you are interested :)

I am interested in your replay, if you could upload it. It would be very instructive.

Give me a day, I can get on PS3 in about 10 hours :( I think I only have 2:14.1xxx best lap saved, but I will run it again, should be able to get mid 2:13s, as the 2:14.1xxx run was littered with late entry and slow last sector - 1:35s last sector.
