I have given various cars the rigity improvment and I have noticed that sometimes its make the cars handle worse, and other times it makes it better. anybody else notice this? does rigity improvment actually work?

You'll have to tweak the suspension after the rigidity improvement since the chassi is now stiffer, all in all, rigidity improvement should make your cars handle a bit tighter :)

It can cause understeer in my experience but like you say some cars are better with it, its a bit hit and miss

Its a good thing you can take it off if you dont like it.... Oh wait...

Tried it on my R390 Road Car... hate it. Good thing i can just go get a new one...

Oh wait, I cant...

Has anyone tested it to see if it wears down like in the normal rigidity of the car?

It eventually does, but if you want to be fast, you have to do the 500,000 cr. Chassis repair

Thats interesting i haven't tried to restore the chassis after i bought it. Does it disappear and you have to re buy it?

No it's on forever, just chassis wear is what I'm saying

It's rigidity.

Ok gotcha. I usually only use the upgrade if im building a circuit car, or if the car has massive over steer problems such as the '03 viper. It does make a big difference whether it's good or bad.

I haven't used my FGT in over a month but, I think the rigidity made it oversteer more espesially in the esses before the straight at fuji, I only faintly remember though

To have predictable results with chassis reinforcement, you must tune AFTER installing the chassis reinforcement.
Also, do chassis rebuild... chassis rebuild seems to have more noticeable effect with the chassis reinforcement upgrade... Just what I've noticed.

I would only put it on cars with severe oversteer. . . otherwise it'll turn your car into a brick. Thats my experience. (Btw- I mean severe oversteer after the car has been thoroughly refreshed.)

I've only installed the rigidity improvement from the tuning shop on 2 of my 250 cars. Both were standards and pretty old cars.

For my used cars; especially those with high mileage, I buy the chassis maintenance from GT Auto (right after the engine rebuild). Some cars are expensive and others are pretty cheap.

I find the chassis maintenance makes the car drive more consistently and gives me a sound basis for tuning/set up.

I use the rigidity improvement just before a championship race on my FGT, it makes a big difference. The first time i forked out for it i was well pleased with the overall handling. Maybe the difference is more noticable on a more edgy car like the FGT.
