Wow that was a bit of a shock, was watching his show only earlier today. Well RIP Boyd and condolences to family and friends.

That sucks...He has done some mighty fine cars over the years.

Best wishes to his family.

Any word on why he died? I the article said he's been in and out of the hospital.

This is quite a shock.

He was an a cool guy.

He only looked in his 50s in the show.

Rest in peace, Mr. Coddington. Best wishes to Jo and the rest of his family. :(

What?! wow... this sucks. Although, watching his show seems like none of those guys were gonna live long because of the environment at times. lol

RIP Coddington, you will be missed.

Damn, I always watched the show... just damn :(

RIP Boyd.

My favorite character on the show lost his battle with cancer a year or two ago. First Roy and now Boyd. :(

DAMN!!
I've been grooving on Coddington's creations for 2 decades.
He will be missed.

R.I.P. Boyd Coddington.

Woah! How sad, I watch American hotrod quite a lot, RIP Boyd.

damn...
even I know who Boyd Coddington is, and I live out where the nearest neigbor with electricity is 10 miles away!
lets just hope Harley Earl and Co. aren't to mad at him :P

Apparantly he was "a long-time diabetic" who "died from complications that were brought on from a recent surgery." :(

Wikipedia said that he died from a lacerated ulcer, but I don't think it's anything official.

Wow. This is a shock. I'd heard nothing about this.

He'll be sadly missed, that's for sure. At least he will live on in the hotrods he created.

I never really watched his show, but from what I did see I was glad he didn't sell out like Chip Foose did.

I hotrodding legend cut down too early.

RIP Boyd.

I just heard... I loved his work since I was a teenager reading Hot Rod Magazine. He'll be missed. RIP
