I explained why it is not good to mix tires..... As for the rest of your post.... I don't really understand what you are trying to say.....

i tried sims on their own, thyre reely sensitive to evrything, the front has no grip at all, its reely twitchy and understeers at the smallest touch

If your understeering, it has nothing to do with your tires..... It sounds like your car isn't set up well for drifting.... Maybe it has too much HP (for sims), or the suspension isn't setup correctly......

If the car is set up well, and not unbalanced, it will control smoothly... Of course, this is only the mechanical side of things.. You need to have/understand good drift technique, or the settings will be useless.........

Drifting has two parts.... Mechanical/tuning - control/technique

To be a master drifter, you need to understand both..........

;)

ahhhh never thought of that. i think ive got too much power. but as for the settings theyre perfect for me, iy took me two sleepless nights finetuning them:banghead: but finally got them right. come to think of it. whats the optimum power output foe a car runnin on sims???

depends on ur style and the car.. for rx7 if u want to be able to drift whenever u want using power more than tech.. 400HP should be enough.. i dunno...

even a lot of the famous D1 cars have +400 HP

soz gabkicks. ur right i dont think i ment understeer. but i experienced too much twitchiness on the straights e.g the car kept swerving left and right at the slightest touch!! wats that?

It depends on 2 things..... HP and Weight.......

Sims tend to work best on Stock to 300hp range (give or take)...

Heavy cars need more HP, and light cars need less....... A good way to be sure is to start with it stock, and add HP until it seems to have a good balance (grip/drift), and slides well........

lol... No it doesn't sound too good.......

What car are you refering to?

;)

rx-7 rz... my choice for a good drift. ive also got a ruf 3400s, and evo 5. like u said earlier, weight is important, its not too light, and im runnin it on normal tyres. but the car im talkin about is rx-7

dont worry gimme a month...i'll have a nice silvia and i'll be drifting like madd..(i hope) in gt4 im gonna buy a ///M3 and drift with that... is that good?

thats why i luv the 86. it trains the driver. u still gotta follow a pretty decen race line to drift it since u cant use power to make tyres slip. just follow almost ur normal grip race line.. maybe break a little later when initiating drift to put more stress on tyres..

I have a 180hp Ae86 with normal tires and sport tuned parts.Bryan C. uses a 180hp Ae86.Hes pretty good with it.

Well ive been away from gt3 for a while but im hoping to make a comeback. But i uasually perform something like this but a bit closer [quick little piece down there]. i try to get as close as i can when i coming up on the apex of the turn, i like the way it looks and its a good way to keep your speed if you nail it just right. :D

... it was much easier to draw rather than explain...

anybody tried the trial mountaing reverse track? the hump on the left side can act as a ramp! i jumped it and tried to continue with a drift hahahah

and in TM2 you can get HUGE angles on the last turn (where it goes downhill). because, when the ground levels out again, i guess it makes the tires grip and correct the car's path.

actually, im not 100% sure thats why......but it works for me anyways.

hahah... i alwys carry too much spped in that corner and go flyin away like a bar of soap... but like u said it always seems to correct itself, i guess its the leveling of tarmac.

thanx it took me eight long days to make it on mspaint.

BTW in trial mountain on T3 in the little tunnel, if you come at it going the other way like TM2 if you carry enough speed from the previous corner start the drift a little early. you get a little hop but your car is sideways in the air [if you do it right] when you land you can carry the drift allthe way through the tunnel and then some..but you can lose it very easily.......... GO AND TRY IT :D

about ur drift line.... it seems to be weird

I finally managed to drift the last "bubble" turn at Complex String (I) the longest turn of the course. Using an RX-7 FC (341 hp) I clipped the grass inside with the right-front like 2 times, just barely though I didn't go riding on the grass at all. I also got probably my highest angle ever (for an FR) when at about half way I felt the car wanting to correct itself so I stepped on it just the right amount to keep it sideways and still away from the grass.
I don't think I could've done it had I left the camber of the tires untouched either, that had to help.

I timed it on the replay and the whole thing lasted 18.69 seconds, my longest drift yet. I'm probably going to try to stretch it to 20 seconds now. :D

Nice.....

I love that turn.... It helps you with throttle control......

However, it can bew done quite easily with stock suspension... Although, the added camber does give you more control......

WOW 18 SECONDS..... ******g amazing, ive neva tested how long my drifts lasted but i dont think i could get it that long... im also runnin rx-7, but mine always corrects its self during that corner, or generally long corners.
