Funny thing is I would've said the same thing 2 months ago.
I for one don't consider it true that "practice makes perfect", but it does make you really, really good. ;)

its fun to chain the stretch before and then through the big O's and then around the final turns with the up and downhill bends.

.......on complex string.

i dun like the 90 chicanes on that course 2 much trouble and the LONNNNNNNNNNGGGGGG straight is a killer unless i start chokidori it

Those box turns, can be a lot of fun, if you learn how to drift around them... It's all about finding the right line......

;)

Jesus is it possiable to keep the car on the outside line of a turn? like takumi did in initial D when he let the rear 1cm from the guardrail... im trying it (not to the guardrail but to the outside line where pavement meets grass) and keep spinning out or fly off the curb

Yes, it is possible. You just have to find the right line for that car so that the rear end can take the line closest to the grass/dirt. It is not the best line, but there is one that you can follow.

I think it would be amazing if a drifter can drift as close to the guardrail/wall/dirt/grass in the inside corner rather than the outside. Now that takes some skill :)

Why?? Wouldnt it be harder the outside line since gravity pushes the car up? Or on slanted surfaces does this happen?

Pushes the car up? You mean outwards?

Yes, but then the car needs a lot of speed to take the outside line to compensate for taking the longer line. And anyways, I think taking the outside line is better when the course is small, not on big courses like Midfield or Apricot Hill.

Oh alright, because i was trying to drift the first corner on midfield it wasnt working.. And I saw your drift channelge with the silvia spec r.. i nearly pissed my pants. Everything was like perfect!!!!! it was so crazy nice job

maaan... i got that exact prob. i can drft sweetly round most corners. and until yesterday around hairpins.:D but i just cant do the looong drifts. like the one in tokyo that always kills me halfway through:banghead: help:confused:

hey come to think of it... what button combo do you guys use. cos i tried toca 2 on xbox and i like the accelerator/brake buttons. oh by the way, what do you guys think of the latest toca. it fun but a bit arcady...erm...i think ive gone abit off topic:D

I don't use buttons... I use both analog sticks.......

You seam to have missed something.......

Right analog stick:
up - accel
down - Brake

Left analog stick:
steering

;)

AHH...soz. i neva thought of that:irked: is it any good. cos i m usin ex and square buttons at the mo. and i want to be able to brake quicker...cheers mate. i neva thought of that one.

It's the only way to have precise control over the steering, throttle, and brakes.......

Most of the (Dual Shock) pros use this method........

;)

One of the only drawbacks of the dual shock controller is the inability to "left-foot" (or left finger in this case) brake. That's why I prefer the Xbox controller. But a nice wheel and pedal solves that problem anyway.

well, u can kinda left foot break if u use the top of ur thumb for the break and the part near the joint for the gass.

but the xbox is so big, it has one analog, d pad and two triggers....and its too big

lo .....u sed it man, but it was pretty cool playing toca with it. i tried diferrent types of button combos and l2 and r2 are working well for me at the mo. ive found this gives extra throttle control therefore drifting closer to the limit is easier.

Yeah, I hate the original monster controller. I definately like the small one much better. Although for games that require fine control with the joysticks sometimes the huge controller works alright.

is risky drifting consider if u put half of the car into the dirt and still control it and it goes into the corner
