I sandbagged the new drag event for quite a while and made about 2 million off of it. Then I decided to run a few serious times with the Audi S4 and ran a 10.611 or something similar to that and it put me above everyone on my FL even above the people using the leaderboard VW Bora car. THEN they purchased one of the top leaderboard setups for the VW Bora so now I am several down on my FL. Oh well I take pride in running my own tuning setups even if I am not at the top. My 10.611 Drag setup is actually in my SF.

Also sandbagged the rest of the monthly events for a while. In fact one of my replays showed me doing donuts at the beginning and a victory spin at the end. I believe it was the Nurburgring GP event. But I have run a much faster time on that now. Or wait maybe that was the Indy Speedway.

I'm sitting at something like 14mil and 99% sure that about 10mil of that is from Rivals mode lol.

My friend and i were swapping competitive times over and over on the Starter-car event but now i think he's giving up. Think hegot sick of logging into Forza everyday and seeing all his times being beaten lol. So now i just go and try to beat random times every now and then, Isn't as fun as beating your friends list though lol

I checked last night in the statistics and it say my "online" money was something around 15 million. Thats almost ALL rivals mode money.

Yeah, even if you suck you make money. I just need to not show my hand too soon because I am getting to my best time too fast.

I made about 3 million on Saturday doing the R3 Catalunya event, went from about 3000th Sandbagged all the races until I got to the top 300, then went flat out and got myself up to top 120th, now down to around 150th last time I checked, but with a perfect lap I think I could knock off another .5 of a second

Made even more sweeter by the fact I'm using my own set-up for the F458 Italia which is now going to be a shameless plug by telling you all it's for sale in my storefront :sly:

I spent a lot of money tuning my Bora to beat my 'next to' rival at the dragstrip, which I eventually did (clean, no assists) but instead of the 100,000 credits promised I got 0 credits and 0 XP. A couple races later I did it again, with the same non-reward. Eventually I just stopped trying - I couldn't go any faster no matter how I tried (10.633)what happened with the no reward for besting your rival?

Nice one Fez, I creamed that event last night for some serious money.
Are you a wheel user ?

Weird, 've just been gifted a 2010 458 Italia and another RX-7 Spirit.

Must be consolation door prizes for the Aventador event.

They are from the pre-order incentive program.👍
But I already got a Spirit from the pre order incentive programme when I started the game.:odd: I wonder why they'd wait until now to give me another one.

There were issues with people not getting them so they just re-sent them to everyone on the list.

As none of my friends like racing games, i have not one person to challenge on rivals mode. The only person that had forza 4 that i knew.. sold his console and his copy to me. So was just wondering if anyone wanted to have another friendly rival, then add me. I love competition. Makes it so much funner.

Agreed... I'll add you when I'm next online. :)

Today is the day that I beat Forcone's F40 on Mugello!!!! Spent about an hour yesterday chasing him -finished within a couple of metres many, many times! :nervous:

I posted some times for you earlier today :) i dont remember what tracks though :(

I accidentally discovered how much you can make in Rivals. I had a friend who beat me in a drifting challenge on Maple Valley and me and my gf were trying to beat him back. Before we knew, we had over 150 laps before I finally beat him and I was very happy with the credits and XP I got :) Since then I've been "barely beating" near-me-rivals to make a lot of money and XP in a small amount of time :)

I thought I had hit a wall about two months ago with Rivals, at least in the time versus pay-off sense of gleaning it for easy credits, but I've discovered something the past two weeks: Drifting, and Autocrossing.

Between those two I've made almost 5 million, which was handy given the prices with this month's DLC. I haven't even really been focusing on maximizing credits - just getting the Auto-X runs down to as close as a normal lap as possible, and I've ended up in the mid-300's on the leaderboards for them, overall. Of course, Stoney is always one step ahead of me - found out the other day that a tie in the times seems to be given to the newest time.

Anybody else have tips on really shaking Rivals for cash? Any particular favourites, or maybe favourite cars? We should all help each other knock down our Rivals times... especially the FPM guys :D

Even though I absolutely hate Track Days (they really serve no other purpose than to annoy you), I've had fairly good luck with the event with the stock car around... Daytona Speedway, I think it is.

I've also discovered that the longer you go without actually besting your rival, the more credits you get. At the moment I have it at 150k, but if I put in 10 or 12 laps I'll get closer to 200k, whereas if I did it in one, two, or even three laps I'd only get a little bit over 150 - 157, 158, there or thereabouts.

I haven't even gone anywhere near the Track Days events. They too annoy the hell out of me.

But yeah, it's possible to grab another 50K for simply doing 30 laps around a track, lol.

lol, Usualy when im bored I take my wheel out and just drive my favourite cars around rivals mode tracks, easy money. the monthly drag race rivals are amazing too, with the right tuning setup (storefront) it's 100-150k every minute

Bump, you!

I've repurposed the thread; while I hope it can still be used to discuss the normal, permanent Rivals events, I've turned the first post into a handy reference point for the Monthlies. You'll find the events and all their relevant details, as well as official FM Bounty Hunter info on whichever events highlighted in green when they're active.

On the topic of the actual events - I'm at the top of VIP March Rivals, Sachs Kurve Drift, and Among Giants right now, out of friends and club, so it must be early in the month . For The Regatta, I would love to see what other people can get out of the Country Squire - I'm so far just dipping into the 16's, but more importantly, it's fastest in the club without resorting to the leaderboard Camaros :p

Quite frankly whoever thought of the Among giants event (clarkson voice) should be shot in front of his family (/clarkson voice)

Took me about 45-50 laps to eventually get a decent spread of cars so i could put in a lap and still only just beat you slip by 0.017

You've got IMO one of the worst AI's in vehicles the size of america on a track the size of a mini. Why must they always be side by side on the flipping chicanes 🤬 End of rant

I wholeheartedly agree. My rant was a bit more angry though because it genuinely pissed me off.

In other news, I beat the community bounty in four laps, and lo and behold... Slip is above me with a 1:09-something. I'll have to get back to it after I've gotten back from shopping and pull off a 1:08-something. :p

Oh, I won't say how many laps it took me in that little Miata to get the time I did. I at one point, I had a Ram uh, ram a Q7 right before the final turn, putting them both sideways blocking the road. Seriously?!

I loaded up the PS3 for the first time in a week today when the lady was over - guess I'll have to switch back over before bed :D

For me rivals mode,is almost the only thing i play and its the best feature in f4. Finaly I managed to beat Slips time in ceed on top gear in simulation mode. I still have trouble eith the last corner. It took me 40 min and got almost 300k cr.

I've managed to get a 2:07.508 on the Wiesmann Nurburgring event, if I sort out a few corners in the first sector then I reckon I can get to a 2:06 but I have no idea how the guys at the top of the leaderboard are getting 2:03s.

That last corner in the Cee'd is deceptive - you turn in so much later than you expect to if you want to carry decent speed. I've been meaning to modify the little thing, since I've spent so much time with it now.

I've updated the first post with this week's Community Bounty - ID TimberWolf set his time (16.617) in an S678 Charger Daytona. He's so far sitting in the 6,600's, so you should be able to beat that with any reasonably-sorted drag car (I'm only .300 off him in an A593 Country Squire).
