I have a tuning suggestion - almost a dare, really - for the RKM folks. The car is in the OCD for cheap so it would be easy to do. Or hell, I'll give you the car. And I PROMISE that it's a challenge. Like, maybe a Yellow Bird-level challenge. Seriously.

Mazda Cosmo Sport (L10B) '68

I'm not joking even a little. This is the most unstable thing I've driven in GT5. It's unreal. You can turn on the driving line on and coast through turns and still be in danger of spinning it out or even rolling it for no discernible reason. A low-powered RWD car with 50/50 weight distribution should not do the things this car does. :scared:

Also, nobody has tuned the L10B in the GT5 tune database, so you'd be the first. 👍

Actually the 110s series isn't that bad. I've got a maxed out one that I'll be releasing a tune for in the next day or two. Of course I'm doing it for Onboy and sometimes tunes he enjoys aren't the best in sheer performance so...:D

VTiRoj & Rotary Junkie do you tune on wheel or pad i read that one of you tune on pad but for the life of me i cannot remeber where

Speaking of the Emperor...I still haven't tested it. However I was planning to actually do a 3 way tuner shootout with the Evo IX RM - you, LDP and MFT. Funny considering MFT's is purple as well though.
That would be an amazing shootout for obvious reasons. :D Clearly MFT also have great taste in colour. :D
A review of the RKM 512BB:

Would RKM allow the guys from the 'other camp' come up with a rival for the BB? We could only hope...

25th Anniversary Countach...25th Anniversary Countach...25th Anniversary Countach
Thanks for the review! I'm happy the 512BB can be appreciated for what it is, rather than being compared to modern supercars. :D It really does let you enjoy the thrill of a car that has no computers telling you what to do.

Personally I stand by my NSX comment and I'd say the MX-5 takes it's genes from old British sports cars, but I can see where you're coming from too. :D

The Countach has already been requested so that'll be a good little comparison when it's done. 👍
Although it’s not as powerful as the Audi, the SL still packs some serious punch. 713 horses to be exact. Which does mean cornering in this 1.4 ton brute is a bit...lively. Any gear, any speed, any corner, and it’ll rip up the back tyres. But the thing is, that’s as far as it’ll get. Unlike normal AMG cars which kick out and kill you after 5 seconds, this will kick the arse out, and let you hold it there. But it still has AMG blood in it. That is to say power over control, fun over lap times. And it does show through when you get serious with it. This car needs an anchor to slow it, but has been given brake from a bicycle instead. It can’t quite hide the fact that it can’t cope with the extra power, and it corners on its door handles in the bends. But I can’t help but like it, I like its childish power = god approach. I like the fact that it just says to you “C’mon, loosen up! Have a bit of fun!”. It’s a very... charismatic car. You just can’t help but love it for what it tries to be. A fast AMG which still retains its abilities to crush continents in absolute comfort. Oh, by fast, I mean ‘not too bad for a big brute like this’. 1.13.992, good enough to scare a few 4WD sports cars and supercars.

Lap Times- Top Gear Test Track
1:11.172 (Audi RS6 'Ikeamobile')
1:13.992 (Mercedes SL55AMG 'Autobahn SL')
1:11.239 (BMW M5 'Wutend Deutsch)
Only replying to the AMG since that's how I roll, but yeah, it's by no means a serious rival for the M5 or RS6, but dare I say it, it's clearly the most laid back and fun. :D I think it's a good example to prove that tuning isn't just about laptimes.

AMG power! :sly:
Roj, im really sorry to be a pain...but you know that challenger i requested...could i change it to a sports soft Acura NSX, that rivals your 3rd Anniverary so i want it to be fun like the 3rd anniversary, and you can add any aero parts you want? if you've already started the challenger it dosnt matter, sorry to be an idiot i didnt really know what i wanted :indiff: thanks
Edit: Oh yeah and it cant be Race Modified, also i think the acura is heavier by around 80kgs so around 380-400bhp should make it a beast :P
but your the professional:lol:and yeah while i remember, will the 5 speed transmission make that much of a difference?..i just want it to be exactly like the 3rd anniversary but look like an Acura '91,personally i prefer the look of the '91 and i would want it to launch like an Evolution R NSX! i know its a really tall order but i think your good enough! :P
The Acura can't match the Honda. I've tried it myself and it's practically impossible unless the Honda is heavily detuned. The 5-speed makes a big difference. You're either going to have long ratios or a really low top speed. Also the rear tyres are much thinner so the 400bhp will make it too slidey to even keep up with the 3rd Anniversary. Our NSX RM tune is only barely faster than our Evolution R and the RM is on racing tyres! I've not started the Challenger yet so you've got free reign to change your request for now.
Also, nobody has tuned the L10B in the GT5 tune database, so you'd be the first. 👍
Maybe RJ will take this one up, being our Mazda expert and all. :D
VTiRoj & Rotary Junkie do you tune on wheel or pad i read that one of you tune on pad but for the life of me i cannot remeber where

I use a DS3, RJ uses a wheel most of the time.

The '90 GT-Xs will be the best handling of the FC generation... As for the FDs...

'98+ models handle far better than the early models (more grip, less oversteer), with the '01 Bathurst R and the '02 Spirit R being agreed upon as the best two. Differences between the two are very minimal, the Spirit R seems to have slightly more grip but is also a tiny bit heavier.

Oi, you, RJ, y u still no answer reviews?! And what have you got planned for your next release?

Thanks a lot , i'll look for this cars by now, i stay very impressed by the GT-LIMITED (FC, J) ‘85 , one of the top 10, 500 pp road car of the game i think ,at least very good to drive. That why i ask you if there is another oldie gem hiden in the middle.

Thanks again, have a good day or night.

Oi, Roj and RJ, I thought you were going to do a Budget R35 Killer thing like you did in GT4? What happened to that?

Ok……I'm going to try something probably very boring. Write 16 reviews, all of RJ's cars, and just dump it all in one go……just to see RJ's reactions :D

Let’s start with the Audi. God it’s fast! Although with 900+ horsepower, you’d expect it to be. But what’s surprising here is that it’s fast through the turns as well. I’m driving an Audi the size of the moon, and it’s fine. It’s better than fine. It’s no R8, but for something this big, it is remarkably controllable and fun! It oversteers in 1st and 2nd gear, and has some understeer from 3rd gear onwards, as you’d expect. But now, it’s enjoyable rather than scary, feels connected, not detached. It does corner on rails, but the rails I have in mind are more like roller coaster rails. It’s exciting, but you know that it won’t throw you off. It’s fast too. For something that still weighs more than 1.6 tons, it can shift its weight very well, with lap times getting close to the low 1:10.xxx’s on the test track. Adding to its good and fixing the bad with a lethal overdose of power harnessed by the dark art of tuning, this is now a car which surpasses its stock counterpart on every level.

The best way to define the Ikeamobile is to call it a freight train. Pulls like one, handles like it's on rails, and stops like one. I'd be willing to say that with better brakes it could handle a few hundred more hp.

So, to the Wutend Deutsch, otherwise known, to you and me, as the M5. It’s the least powerful car here, and if its to keep its pride as Germany’s finest, it’s got a lot to live up to. And it doesn’t disappoint. You see, although it’s the least powerful car here, it’s much lighter. And much more exciting. Someone once described this car, with this tune, as being a wolf. Well, I’d like to add to that and say that this particular wolf is the most savage and unforgiving you’ve ever met. It does not know to forgive. It just knows to bite hard and thrill. In this car, you’ll never be bored, never wishing for the race to end. I will go as far as to say it has an air of the devil Z about it. It exudes menace when you drive it fast. It feels like, and this is high praise, a slightly tamer Deathsycthe Camaro. It feels, like a supercar. It’s so sharp, so exuberant, it makes the Audi and Merc look like the Titanic in comparison. I have not driven such a heavy car which puts you so close to the action. So in contact with what every bit of the car is doing. It’s as close as you could ever get to a 4 door hypercar. This is still the god of the über-cruisers. This, this is what the M5 is all about. This is the essence of the M5. Supercar speed, racing car thrills, road legal.

Really, I wouldn't call it a "tamer Deathscythe". I'd call it the German equivalent... Germans are just a little bit more precise with what they do, hence it being slightly more docile. ;)

I have a tuning suggestion - almost a dare, really - for the RKM folks. The car is in the OCD for cheap so it would be easy to do. Or hell, I'll give you the car. And I PROMISE that it's a challenge. Like, maybe a Yellow Bird-level challenge. Seriously.

Sounds like fun. Bet I can make it into a sweetheart that's just a bit lacking in grip though. :sly:

No answer because they kinda got passed by walls of text. That and they were both cars I've already had reviewed before.

We still may. Depends if we find the arsedness, seeing as there really isn't any beating the R35 on its own ground without at least better tires.

Do it. Make sure it includes the NSX Type R Zero and LS6>LS7.

Well, are you Andre? Do you slack off and go off to drool at Anime girls? No you don't, so get off your arse and get going! :D

You did read it right? All your cars that I haven't reviewed (even those that didn't get answered to). So it'll include your latest releases.

At some point yes, but like RJ said, it's when we can find the arsedness to sit down and do it. To be honest we need Vince to organise us like last time!
I would like to see some more street legal tunes :D I already have on on standby for the lads here

A Lancia Delta Intergrale Evolutione :D

I too would like to do more street legal tunes, but I'm buried in requests right now.

Also for those who still don't know, patch 1.12 fixed the FF LSD problem. 👍

Very mature.
:D You still haven't figured out how not-old I am? I is 14, so let me be immature, pony pedo :D

Ok then, if you won't do it by free will, I'm have to get you to do it. For my next request, I request 3 cars, all tuned to take on a R35 Spec V on sport softs. Expect the request form to be PM'd soon.

We will do it by free will, just not now while we don't have the time. Also I can just say no.

Well, I know you're making your house more orange, and RJ is doing his own stuff, but I'm not asking you to get going now! And I know you won't say no :D You won't say no to a chance of embarrassing your (and my) most hated car

Hence why we'd rather do it in our own time and pace so we can deliver something like what we did at RVV.

Well, how did they drive? I wasn't there so I can't find out for myself, but were they one of the highlights of RVV?

My S14 - Beat the R34 and was kinda fun to drive.

RJ's RX-7 - Murdered the R34 as you'd expect from RJ's RX-7.

Vince's EvoV - Did everything better than the R34, very stable and very safe.

The cars themselves weren't highlights but the project as a whole was, because we made 3 completely different cars to tackle the same problem.

Wow, sounds like you had fun. Where's Vince anyways? And unless I'm mistaken, RJ's C30 has already sort of beaten the R35 on the 'Ring, right?

Why not make this into a F.I.T.T. event at some point?
Either RKM or Onboy could sponsor a shootout for better alternatives to a popular car like the R34-R35 cars.:D

With the current list of event sponsors you would have a few months to work out details.👍👍

Having a life outside of GTP I think.

Yes but RJ's C30 costs more than the moon. The real prize is to beat the R35 for less money than what the R35 costs.

That's an idea. Maybe me and RJ can organise something like that. :D That reminds me actually, I've not joined F.I.T.T. yet. Can I pweez join? :O

Well……you'd actually only need the diff, the suspension, the tranny and the turbo and the tyres…which will amount to………let's see……15k + 7.5k + 20k + 15k to 20k + 8k + 42k = less than R35 Spec V :D

And do it. Just do it. Host the event.
