I love Robot Wars. Such a shame it's no longer on anymore.

Blendo ftw.

My Engineering Tech Lecturer (Mr.Gribble) built and campaigned Pussycat. He brought it into college along with Matildas bodyshell and one of Sir Killalots ribs once. I think it was the only robot to ever 'defeat' Killalot.

It is a shame that it got too dangerous to let it carry on. When you find 3-4 inch pieces of 1/2 inch steel embedded in the studio roof, you know things are getting a little too extreme.

Sir killalot FTW

When did it defeat Killalot? And do you mean the show in general got too dangerous or Pussycat got too dangerous?

I think he means the show - the show that was awesome in everyway. And I'm pretty sure pussycat once beat killalot. My favourite battle was Chaos2 against pussycat. There was so much chipboard being cut out of the floor:crazy:

Battlebots was a lot better than Robot Wars though.

I'm not sure when it defeated Killalot, but it hit the two-stroke(?) motor that powered Killalot and damaged the fuel lines, causing a small fire.

I meant the show got too dangerous, upgrading the arena even further would of seen the producers make a loss.

We had robot wars too. Two different shows.

When did that happen?

I used to love Robot Wars! Coincedentally I've just reinstalled the last PC game they made onto my new-ish laptop and relived the good old days!

When did that happen?

A few weeks before they stopped producing it. I believe it was actually Pussycat with it's vertical flywheel cutter that did it. Either way, the audience was at risk so it was put to bed.

Is that Robot Wars: Extreme Destruction? I love that game!

Yup! It's frustrating in places too, but I can forgive! :D

Battlebots was a lot better than Robot Wars though.

Are you thinking of the old US robot wars or the totally separate UK robot wars?
