I was just wondering how you distinguish between a guest and a robot?

Can robots be guests? Are there any robot members?

I think bots actually identify themselves as bots to GTP. At least that's what i assume.

Robots are web crawlers. Most do identify themselves as such when they make requests to the server, and they view the site as a guest.

You may consider @WRSFetchBot a member robot, but he's not identified as such in the online stats.
