Use the SIM version of that car for this Round.
Oil change and Supersoft / T8 tyres are the only upgrades available!
Settings adjustments are allowed 👍
NO HYBRID CARS!

Sector discussion is fine! ... just dont discuss full laps and Total race times! ​

Please remember that the car you choose for Round 1?
must be used for the remaining 3 rounds!
so choose wisely!

Points will be awarded in the order of

1st place 30
2nd place 29
3rd .........28
etc..​

OK. I'll start it with a report from the bottom of the field.

Best hotlap: 23.8-53.3-1'17.8

Haven't tried a race yet. I'll do it tonight.

The last many times I've been racing GV II, it's been in bigger cars like the Lister, Viper and TVR. Takes a little time to figure out the breaking points. Many times I have driven directly into a wall, because of early breaking.

This is a great combo Ron, I'm loving it already. It just seems like there is always room to improve. I ran about 10 laps, and almost every lap was faster than the next. I'm in the 1:17's, but I need to do some more testing to finalize my car choice 👍.

Week 1 will be the hardest week to race for sure quite simply with all the different car testing that will be done .... but hang in there! ... and choose wisely as we will be carrying the car we finally settle on in this round for the rest of the races, that is the main thing to keep in mind

I figure this time around I’d leave somethings to the imagination. I intend to zip all my runs and submit them for the last round, that’s unless folks have a burning desire to see me plays earlier.
With this sort of comp tho, I doubt anyone would care to view my laps anyway

I'm surprised it's this close, I imagine it must be the car choice . Best TTimes that I've seen in a hotlap so far go: T1- 23.1 (wont get that often) T2- 52.9 T3- 1'17.4. 👍

WOW. No wonder I'm having trouble replicating my hotlap.

Tried some races last night and this afternoon. Best one looks like this:

Same here Niels, I've only seen a 1'17.9 in the race, and I think my first lap was a little lower than yours, but I can't remember. Looks like this could be a close race 👍.

I bet it was. 👍 I've been a full second faster at lap 1 a couple of times. Just blown it every time in lap 2.

I'm going to spend the week looking for some strongly needed consistency.

Just ran the race again, and I was around .8 faster at lap 1, but lap 2 I could never pull together, seeing mostly low 1'08's. The turn that has ruined several 2lappers is actually the first turn in the straigh, turn in to early or too late, and you're off the track. It might be my settings, but they seem to be ok on the rest of the track.

for now i've done on t3 1'18.6 lol,lol, on a hot lap with no settings changes on my evo6

Been messing with the settings for about 45 minutes. It went from bad to worse to pretty good

Lost a lot of time in the second sector of the second lap, so I know there is at least .5 easily found, and for sure another .5 laying around.

I was shifting too late and not taking advantage of the rumbles initially. I had the ride heights at MIN convinced that was the way to go. There were no further improvements in my splits after the first set of races. The car became a lot more responsive when I jacked up the front end. Losing gobs of power in the corners became evident after the adjustment so I had to find some compromise between MAX and MIN.

I’d say there is .4 and more seconds left at my T3 split, but I’ll be very satisfied to be anywhere under 1’17 for the race. There’s lots of time to be lost for me in the last turn. . I have taken it near perfect once or twice so I know what a great lap will look like

Along with some minor other adjustments, this resulted in:

On both laps I missed the rumble in the last turn. Losing about 0.3/lap. Otherwise it's close to what I can expect from my hotlapping.

I can't really see where to save much more time, except from hitting every turn perfect. And that's not likely gonna happen.

I'm still running Jakes posted setup from the warm-up race and have been very pleased with that. 👍 Guess I'll go back to free run and try his suggested suspension improvements to see, if they also suit my ride.

Well. Lap after lap after lap, day after day after day, often reveals something. 👍

there's another .5 + for me on each lap to find as I have been faster in unclean saves I would not be in the 1.16's if it had not been for Jakes set up ... without a doubt!

I made 1 tiny adjustment and that was stabs 6 / 1 instead of 7/1
