The line up: Fury & Zero

Race deadline: January 25th.

Car: Nismo Pennzoil (Simulation Car)
Track: Deep Forest
Modification: no restrictions NO HYBRIDS
Mode: Arcade Mode / Normal / 3 laps

I have a question: Are we allowed to have contact with the other cars?

Yes I do believe so

Alright just did the first run. Didn't check the modification rules before I headed out to the track so I turned the TCS off. My first run was pretty sloppy. I let off the throttle in some key places and smacked the wall, hard, in various places. On the 2nd lap I spun out exiting the 2nd tunnel.

Now that I know, I'll probably turn the TCS up a bit to keep the car under control. I'll also probably have to increase the downforce on both the front and rear to help the car get around the corners better.

I take it its a fully HPed car then?
will do some runs tonight post tomorrow
cheers

Did some free run laps today, first time I've played the game in some time now and I got a 59.672 with the Zoil, 3 laps races will start this weekend.

Not too shabby but Arco's time back in August 2001, I betcha 1 million US dollars that he could destroy that time if he felt like it.

Fury: I'll drop the Sharkport in the mail today. You'll have it tomorrow

Quite rusty indeed. Max E told me the other day that he ran sub 59s in the Pennzoil. I'll be putting in about 2 hours a night til saturday with this race.

You should know better than anyone that I havent yet :D

Whoo!

Okay, I know this time is not spectacular or nothing (59.979), but its MUCH better than what I was running before Zero was so kind to share his settings w/ me. Now that I was finally able to get into the 59-range, I should be able to go from there.

Nice looking times there Fury! Keep it up!
Could get on to the podium with sub 59's.

Man...I hate this car

Current fastest clean race

1'05.57x
1'00.002
1'00.006
5:05.5xx

Whoa. That's a smoking time for the race. So far, I've only been able to play it conservatively, because when I try to go all out I always scrape the wall.

My race time is slow. Megabyte is running about .5 to 1 full second faster than me on everylap :(

How are you doing?

I don't know why for sure, perhaps it's that everyone and their brother would praise the skylines, but i've never been into racing them. I have a few, but i never run'em.

i bet it understeers like crazy. not up for playing now, and the game tv is busy, but i am currious about the car. it can be bought, right?

Yeah it can be bought at the nissan dealership. It understeers like a b!tch and I dont know how to fix it.

OK, I haven't really read the spce on this one, but I'll make some suggestions.

1) Lower the VCD if there is one to 20%, and reduce the initial torques and accel effect on the front diff.

3) Stiffen the rear springs, and soften the fronts, to allow it to transfer more weight forward more quickly.

4) Soften the front rebound and stiffen the rear rebound to reduce acceleration understeer. Do the same things with bound if it plows under braking.

5) Lower the rear ride height to bias the static weight distribution toward the fron a little more.

Hope this helps and wasn't stuff you already knew. PS, Zero, how are you doing on Rnd 5?

Havent started race 5 yet, been trying to get a better race 4 time.

Sukerkin has some complex formula for assisting in this.

Sukerkin's formuals are mostly designed to maintain proportional spring rates when you adjust ride height, vehicle weight, or downforce. He doesn't really have any calculators set up for directly adjusting handling balance that I know of.

Ok.

DEADLINE 26 MINS

I took it upon myself to submit that run zero had posted in here , in case he didn't remember .
