Hey Duke, you want to create new race 9 verification thread? This one has been hijacked by talk of the next BC. :D

Eggmann-I agree with you about the hot laps 100%,this one had way too many.

It's been a long time since I'm thinking about making a kind of an international racing chart or something which every site hosting OLR may use. So, everyone will get use to these rules and new-comer will have an idea of what a Board Challenge is and how strict it is if they think they are fast enough to be hire by some team.

First I have to say I accept any decision made by Duke, even if I don´t agree with all.

Agree totally with Arwin, that in race 9 shouldn´t be allowed two off´s. It is a hotlap and hotlaps have to be clean. It was written, that long track races allow 2 off´s, not a long track hotlap. Anyway, guess that the best drivers in the world are able to do a clean lap on Nürburgring Nordschleife.

It is forbidden to install NOS. The rule was changed after the race to avoid a DQ for veilsidebr. Totally agree with that decision because he has not used NOS and I think it was not the fault by the driver. May be the team-captain has forgotten to tell his driver about the rule change. But the rules have been changed after the race.

After this decision I have a problem with Rico´s DQ. To be honest I wouldn´t have submitted that run with that extremely close call.
But IMO it is not 100 % sure if there is a minor touch or not. One pic says there is a touch, another pic says there is no touch. In one replay angle it looks like a touch, in another angle it looks not like a touch. For me there is to 99 % a touch. So I wouldn´t give it a green tick. But I am not 100 % sure, so I wouldn´t give him a DQ.

It seems we can not trust the replay and the photomode to 100%. Had such a situation in the fastes run from my driver in race 8. In one angle the 3rd wheel was clearly on the curb, in another angle the wheel was clearly near the curb!!!

My question is: after we could change a rule after race 9 to avoid a DQ, why can´t we change a rule to avoid a DQ for Rico. We could give him a one second penalty for example.

Don´t want to start a new discussion. Just want you all to think about, if we are on the right way in the last days.

I do understand all point of view here. But for my point of view, i did understand the rules like they are applied by Duke way befor the races start.

1. Nurb and Le Sarth are considere as long track so they must go with the long race scenario for penality (even if i think we should give a priority to 100% clean run in a futur rules)

Sorry, but no. The rules specify Short Races as 2-5 laps, and Long Races as laps of 10+ laps. Short Races on Long Tracks are to be categorised as Long Races. But hotlaps stay hotlaps. At the very, very, very best, you could accept Hot Laps on Long Tracks as Short Races.

Personally, I think the best thing to do is develop a set of general OLR rules. In other words, make a set of BC rules, translate them to German, French, Italian, Spanish and what not, and have all the boards run their competitions with these rules the whole year round. Any proposed changes will be reviewed and implemented by a group of representatives from each board, supervised by someone from the board that will next host the BC.

EDIT: like Mistral said. 👍

I've understood the Long tracks to be included with the Long Races throughout the competition, regardless of how many laps. But as Arwin said earlier, if that's the case then there's no "backup times" allowed for Round 9 since those were intended for Hot Laps which didn't have a penalty system.

Well good,it seems that we might all be on the same page here with these track rules. The next question is how do we get the process done?

Well, we're willing to help with these parts at the very least.

We can keep this board (and the main BC5 board) open as long as necessary to get the job done. And I'm more than willing to help any way I can, though I'm replay-hindered.

I can't believe I finally heard some1 saying the same as I think...or wait...maybe u saw also the replay itself from xps file? instead of just looking the 2 vids?
good words madbesl, on every point... 👍

So we have to define what's legal and what is not? :scared:

So we have to define what's legal and what is not? :scared:

Cruel world, what is the idea of doing a game with so much track on it :dopey: .

IforceV8 : You wish to do a rules for all single track or one rules that will apply to all track. I think the second option is simple. Sorry for my lack of english here.
