First I have to say I accept any decision made by Duke, even if I don´t agree with all.
Agree totally with Arwin, that in race 9 shouldn´t be allowed two off´s. It is a hotlap and hotlaps have to be clean. It was written, that long track races allow 2 off´s, not a long track hotlap. Anyway, guess that the best drivers in the world are able to do a clean lap on Nürburgring Nordschleife.
It is forbidden to install NOS. The rule was changed after the race to avoid a DQ for veilsidebr. Totally agree with that decision because he has not used NOS and I think it was not the fault by the driver. May be the team-captain has forgotten to tell his driver about the rule change. But the rules have been changed after the race.
After this decision I have a problem with Rico´s DQ. To be honest I wouldn´t have submitted that run with that extremely close call.
But IMO it is not 100 % sure if there is a minor touch or not. One pic says there is a touch, another pic says there is no touch. In one replay angle it looks like a touch, in another angle it looks not like a touch. For me there is to 99 % a touch. So I wouldn´t give it a green tick. But I am not 100 % sure, so I wouldn´t give him a DQ.
It seems we can not trust the replay and the photomode to 100%. Had such a situation in the fastes run from my driver in race 8. In one angle the 3rd wheel was clearly on the curb, in another angle the wheel was clearly near the curb!!!
My question is: after we could change a rule after race 9 to avoid a DQ, why can´t we change a rule to avoid a DQ for Rico. We could give him a one second penalty for example.
Don´t want to start a new discussion. Just want you all to think about, if we are on the right way in the last days.
