Was thinking about this car... since Porsche isn't looking too likely in the near future at least, why not have the latest RUF alternative? May as well make use of the RUF license and add some more up to date cars.

The more RUF's the better! The manufacturer is already working with PD, why aren't all their models in the game yet? Insanity...that's my guess.

I really have no idea why at least some new RUFs aren't in GT already. Porsche is obviously very popular and while you don't get the Porsche history with RUFs, you still get a taste of the machines without having to pay EA an exorbitant amount for licensing.

Doesn't seem likely, Gemballa = tuner, RUF = manufacturer. Probably the only link between Porsche and RUF is that they share bodyshells.
How did Rockstar get Gemballa in Midnight Club 3 then? Did they pay a ton of money or did EA not have the Porsche exclusive licence?

Is it possible that Porsche, who apparently are on good terms with PD, have said that they'd allow Porsche in GT once the EA deal expires, and also said they'd prefer it if they didn't add any RUF cars until that time?

(Just a thought)

Next best thing to the 991 911. It's baffling to me why this car isn't in the game.

On a side note, it's virtually impossible to find pictures of this car online.

so maybe this is one of the cars that PD will choose to include in GT7 based on feedback from the community, I hope they will include all of the 991 ruf models (RtR, RGT 4.2, RCT, RGT-8, Rt-35 Roadster and Turbo Florio), 3d models differ in small cosmetic changes (spoilers, headlights, mirrors, air intakes, wheel rims)

If they still can't get the Porsche license, it only makes sense to really make good use of the Ruf one. I mean, they haven't updated their Ruf lineup since GT4!

The Ruf FB page has plenty.
I found a couple there, at least:

Doesn't look like that's an official Ruf Facebook page, though.
