Just got one of these and spent money on engine and body making it good as new :)

Took it to Trial Mountain for a few laps, what a car! Its a beast to control, the back end loves to slip out and it drifts great. I ain't to amazing driving this thing but, my god, is it fun!

I hate you, I failed at a trade with this car. It just keeps coming back and haunting me today.. Yikes! :(

But curious, how much did you pay for yours and how many miles did it have? Thanks for the info mate,

mine was around 140K if i remember correctly?

I got two RUF's now. I want them all. Pokemon! It was a beast to repair though...

Yeah we need more (Premium) RUF´s in the game, if we can´t get Porsche... The car was already an beast in GT4, so it must be in GT5 :)

Haha, yeah, it is sweet. As for the price I acctually can't remember, I quickly grabbed it up with out thinking! But as anothe rposter said I think it was around the 140k region. I will post the Miles when I load GT5 back up ;)

Yep, sounds good to me, I say the detail is great, obviously not up with the premiums but its definatley one of the best Standard models I have seen. Handling is alright, as I said, back end comes out quite a bit but I think it makes it more fun and rewarding to drive!

I just uploaded a picture of it on my profile so you can have a look if you like (in my Gran Turismo 5 Photos album)

Just checked the Miles. It is currently on 31,199.9. Bare in mind I also did a few laps myself. It cost me a good 200k to overhaul the engine and restore rigidity...

Worth it though ;)

Hope you guys can get you hands on one soon :)

I didn't know it was hard to get, it was the first used car I bought and I saw it quite often since then. I'll try to grab some when I see them if it can help anyone. Maybe it appears more often when you already have one?
The cars I have been struggling to get was any old muscle car. I checked the used lot for days before getting one and now that I've bought one there is at least one in the used car lot almost all the time :|

I have the 4wd RUF and oh my god I can't drive it at all! :O anyone have tips? The massive understeer is crazy. I did a engine overhaul and restore rigidity and it still is the same.

I've yet to see one in my used lot, but knowing what a Porsche fan I am, my kind friends have gifted me a BTR and an RGT.

For me the RGT is a most enjoyable to drive... I admit to giving it the full monty upgrade (c.high 400's BHP and all the suspension etc), but on sports hard with a few tuning tweaks it very fast and very challenging to drive :)

A gentleman gifted me this wonderful car and it truly is a beaty (and a beast) in every way  So much fun!

There is one in my used lot at 177k. I only have 80k. At what lengths should i go to get this? Could sell the masarati ft, Challenger, for 60k then have some other stuff i could sell and do a few runs on pro sportscar Daytona before it leaves my used lot. Should i do it?

I love my yellowbird it sure is a beast to drive, especially around nurburgring, I'm lucky enough to have found 4 rufs now, just got the BTR tonight.

The RUF appreciation thread :)

Can't wait till I can afford GT5 as I am a poor student. When I get it, getting all the RUFs is my main goal.

Off topic, but where do you study? Am at Northumbria!

The Yellowbird is fun to drive, tricky but fun!

added a diff distribution to mine with 70 rear and 30 front, or 75/25 for more hilarity :)

Nice Pic :)

I love the smoke, I get accessive amounts of smoke when I drive to :P

If you'd like it to be slightly more manageable, add about 3 degrees of negative camber in the rear, and tighten up the front swaybars over the rear as well.

Mine still slides with any extra power through a corner but it's no longer scary to drive. I'm not the greatest driver, but with a G27, I've managed to match my GTR and max modded M3 CSL times with it on Eiger.

Although incredibly fast, I don't think I would ever use my Yellowbird for competition, it's just fun to hoon around.

Im still waiting for this baby to come back around in the UD.

Ive been racing and saving just for it :)

Bugs me i had to let it go earlier in the game, but i needed the credits to upgrade a car. That didnt leave me enough to purchase it.

Im not making the same mistake again 👍

Still pissed at myself for not picking these up when I saw them in the used cars. Got too concerned with only buying cars to try and finish up A-spec.

Break more? Seriosuly this car understeers however you tune it, some front toe out and softening the front springs will help a touch, I've also been playing with the diff settings, haven't found a setup that I'm totally happy with yet though.

Currently I got the diff set to:

10 15
15 10
10 20

Just remember slow in fast out, break hard and go gentle on the power till you're past the apex, the porsches strenghth is in it's traction out of corners.

As suggested already get a variable center diff too, don't sent too much of the power to the rear tyres though or you'll lose most of your track speed. Think I went with F 35 R 65

If you then find the car is too twitchy under breaking turn up the LSD deceleration to 25.
