All Yellow Bird owners! Be sure to take your car for a blast round Le Sarthe if you haven't already! I just did, great fun ;)

How fast on the straights?

I remember one of the headline numbers for the Yellowbird was that one did 211mph in the hands of one of the car magazines back in the day

Still pissed at myself for not picking these up when I saw them in the used cars. Got too concerned with only buying cars to try and finish up A-spec.

Same here :( I'll be checking the used car lot.... lots!

On the straigts I was doing between 160-180 mph ;) I reckon it could go faster if I didn't have to slow it down for the chicanes. Will have a blast at the No Chicane Layout later see what I can do ;)

For all people who don't have a Yellow Bird:
I will keep checking out the Used Car Section, if I see one I will grab it up if I have the spare cash, then give you guys priority over it ;) Cause I am nice like that :D As the dealer is random though I can't promise anything...

Which RUF is the 4WD? I thought the RGT had it, but mine is RR (though the description says it can come as 4WD). Got a Yellowbird, can't drive it. 3400S, though, is awesome.

Rufs...

BTR: RR, RWD, turbo (based on the 911 turbo)
Yellowbird (CTR): RR, RWD, twin turbo (based on a narrow bodied 911 turbo)
CTR: RR, 4WD, twin turbo (based on the 993 turbo)
RGT: RR, RWD, non-turbo (based on the 996)
3400: MR, RWD, non-turbo (a Boxster with a tuned 996 3.4l engine)

It is very unfortunate that a classic car like the yellowbird didnt get the premium car makeover. Maybe it is a licening problem. But still, a very nice car.

Sorry to go off topic. But when you ''repair a car'' does that mean engine overhaul and making it rigid again?

Hopefully I get mines tonight in this trade that I have goin. Its an RUF CTR2 '96
and I am also looking for a Yellow Bird myself for drifting.

I've seen about 4 of these show up in the dealership haha (I already have one).

i been waiting for yellowbird, i want to make it a bluebird :D

for now i have BTR which is similar, quite of a beast..

Took the Yellowbird 87, for a drive around the Ring earlier, just did the mechanical upgrades, everything else stock.

What a joy to drive.

used to love the YB on GT4. me and my friend did a time trial against each other for a few days/weeks with this car on some US Seattle type track to learn how to drive properly.

once u can do flying laps on tracks with jumps and the tightest of corners with that car, it takes the fear factor away.

Right, I'm buying this as soon as I see itfir sale! I saw it the other day but didn't have enough credits...I do now, sounds like a fun car and looks brilliant!

I've currently picked up an RGT, a yellowbird, and the 2500RS (or whatever the boxster thing is called). I love the yellowbird, but haven't driven it much since I'm still chugging through A-spec mode. Mines currently totally stock, with no repairs. To those of you who did repair it, was it worth the money? I'm still on the fence.

Oh man, I was cycling through the used car garage for about an hour last night trying to get a CTR to show up. It's driving me nuts that I can't get one! I'm so ready to recreate Stefan Roser's Faczination in GT5!

Haha, I managed to Snatch up a RGT 00 myself! Painted it Matte Lime Green too, it looks miiiiiiiiiiiiiint! :D

I am trying to snatch up other RUFs cause they seem to be shifting well on the trading forum ;)

Wrong the CTR (CTR2) is the old 4 wheel drive GT2 (the sport/race version of the 911 turbo).

It's tempting to be equally as rude to you in return, but I'll resist as you clearly have no idea what you're talking about ;)

Porsche have never built a 4WD GT2... 993GT2, 996GT2, 997GT2 & GT2RS are all RWD only.

As I said, the CTR2 is based on the 4WD 993 Turbo.

Off topic, but where do you study? Am at Northumbria!

The Yellowbird is fun to drive, tricky but fun!

I'm originally from Newcastle way actually :)
I'm at Nottingham Trent at the moment like.

I still havent seen a Yellowbird or CTR2 in my lot :grumpy:

really? wow... it has shown up about 4-5 times on my used lot already the past week.

just purchased mine last night since I finally got cars I need, so far, for the events I need to finish and had extra funds I can blow.

trying to figure out how the game cycles these cars... I guess it really is random...

hope it pops up for you soon. 👍

Gotta try and jump on rare cars, even if it holds up your progress... Found a BTR '86 that was powder blue . Had to get it since I didn't know when another one would come along. Now and I'm broke and can't get this Spoon Integra that's going for... $72k.
