^^^^ Agreed. This is one car which deserves to be driven on stock suspension (insert standard disclaimer regarding online vs. offline handling). This car drives the way it does because that's the way it is supposed to drive. It take a completely different driving style than an FR car, that's part of what makes it so special. All you do by tuning this car to be more neutral is ruin the uniqueness of the vehicle. Tune the driver, not the car... It's work it in the end. It's also a much greater challenge learning to drive it rather than changing it. Making it more neutral is fairly easy, but learning to drive it is a real challenge.

I assume you guys are driving it with ABS set to 0, if not that's blasphemy too you know.

Nope! We are all complete hypocrites! You should be too, it's a good feeling!

(You do make a good point. In most sims I race abs=0 in all cars, even modern ones, but even with the Fanatec clubsport pedals I've never been able to conquer GT4/5 braking threshold mapping. I drive h-pattern and clutch also in many sims, but again not in PD's products because the clutch is so wrong. I think most of us, even the purists, consider ABS=1 to be a good compromise until PD finally remaps the pedal sensitivity or give us software-control over it. For some reason PD has always mapped their pedal responsiveness in such as way that they are very twitchy. But if PD ever fixes this, then yeah, I think most of us who love the Bird pure and perfect will run TCS off. I know I will.)

Trying to drive the Yellow Bird with a wheel is a trip. I've also been trying to replicate that video, I think everyone has. :p

I run with ABS 0 on everything and it is indeed rough. Sometimes you have to brake like a month ahead of time but it is what it is. But I will bring my racing profile up to the competition. If I feel CPU is using ABS =1 then so will I.

Are there any RR cars in GT5??

What is the driving technique that is suitable for driving RUFs anyhow?? Both for drift/slide/fun and grip/speed driving...

Is there any other car in the game harder to drive in stock form? I tried to do a few fast laps around Suzuka and it feels impossible for me to drive it quick and consistently. It is hard to just keep it on the tarmac at a good pace although it is very fun to try and accomplish this. Anyone else?

Has anyone completed an endurance race with a stock or near stock Yellowbird? Grand Valley was fine but Nur'4hr is kickin my ***.

^^ And yes, this car is vastly different than any other car in the game. Do not drive this and then hop immediately into your rl car. Bad results.

Would that be from experience??

Last night. The guy who tried to follow me from the highway onto my road spunout. 55mph on the highway, then a quick chicane, then a drop of 15ft over 70ft and then a 25mph (posted) right turn onto a stretch. I can take it at 65mph with no problems, I don't even touch the breaks. Apparently the person who follows me didn't know my road.

But the Yellowbird, once you get used to it, hardly feels like your moving. Tiny changes in throttle and steering have drastic effects at speed with this car, more so than any other in the game, IMHO. Which leads me to drive faster in real life. I don't even get that feeling when I drive the Subaru Legacy blitzen in the game (fully modded) and then drive my rl car.

I was lucky enough to have spare cash when almost all the RUFs were in the Online Dealership so I bought them all and haven't regretted it yet. Yes the Yellow Bird is a beast of a car but it also has a soft side once you learn it. Sliding around corners is so much fun.
