I am a big Ruf fan, and have been collecting them all. So far I just need the 3400s and the BTR. I doubt I will win (or even come close) but I am in for the fun!
does the yellowbird have to be yellow? i painted mine, but that's the only thing i've done yet, need to save up to overhaul the engine before running anything though.
Hi guys my first post on the forums here but I have been lurking here for quite some time. I just wanted to make an offer, as I have seen the Yellowbird pop up in my used car dealer at least three times that I can remember. I would be willing to give one to someone who is having a difficult time tracking one down. I would love to compete in this competition but sadly my driving skills are far under par, and I would rather see the car go to someone that can handle it properly in this competition. I haven't been online with the game a lot but(and please correct me if I'm wrong) but can we trade cars to each other. If this is possible send me an email or message on PSN(PSN ID same as here) of what cars you would be willing to give me in exchange. I'm not trying to be greedy and I promise I won't just pick the most expensive car offered(although one of those $20,000,000 would be impossible for me to pass up) Anyway guys just trying to help one of you out. Let me know if you are interested and good luck to all of you competing.
Hey Chris, count me in officially now that I finally found this car: GTP_Egghead
Took it for a quick spin tonight. After one warmup lap, managed a clean 8'49.810 (after a couple of glasses of wine too, but I'll probably be slower tomorrow )
Got it with 49,xxx Km on it for around 177K. Did an engine overhaul and chassis restoration (still not sure if that does anything) and the power went from 434hp to 480hp. Not that the extra power is going to help with those rock hard tires on it!
Count me in chris! Just managed to get myself a Yellow bird this morning, I loved it in GT4. This compettition is going to be a good challenge as I`m not comfortable with GT5s new physics yet. Kudos to you for having such a desirable prize.
I'm in too, but I will be needing some serious practice first

By the way at this time I still have a spare yellowbird in my garage (fresh out of the used car dealer, untouched), willing to trade for an enzo or a nice race car. Add me if you're interested in the bird...
If I can keep it on the road, i'm in by the way. My own YB is completely stock out of the used dealership. Assume an oil change is allowed. What's the story with engine and chassis overhaul - is this allowed? I'm not saying I want to go and spend the money, but at the same time I don't need any more disadvantages over and above my lack of skill
Did one lap as a test.
This is what happened in every corner:
👍
And like 'Carlos Fandango' mentioned, we do need some more info. Is oil change allowed, and what about the engine & chassis overhaul?!And how are you going to control this?
I just bought it, oil refresh, engine restored, chassis overhaul and went on the green hell with the stock tyres, wich are sports hard and well, it drifts already there.
Forgotten wich tyres it needs to be on for this competition, i come look and haha!
Geez, Chris man you make drifting this thing look simple!!!
Got the 2006 CTR2 (newer model rwd one?) ealier in the week and have been practicing on that, but to say the least, the yellobird is making me look mightly clumsy in comparison - it requires much much greater skill level to drive with a G25. Not tried it with a pad yet but i'm trying my best to get used to the 900 degree wheel movements and it's tough!!!
Btw. Are you limiting the comp to wheel users only?
I'm also in, just for the fun of it. I know I'm not really good at drifting (and had a horrible time trying to keep the little bird on the road), but I'll post my time once I get a decent lap.
Too bad that there is no way to make sure that everyone is using a stock car.
Hi Dude (The Chris), what brake settings are you using? Do the rules forbid modifying brake balance?
Also. Has anyone noticed a difference to the driveability of their Yellowbird after chassis repair? It feels like mine is overly difficult to control.
Does look like your're all having the same problem though.
