Hell, the reason I am still in college is because of my dream. A RUF Turbo R. Even when I type it, I get erect. (excuse the vulgarity but the midweek 'hydration' is taking affect) ;)

my ferrari cost 220,000  yes i own all the cars and ruf is a tuning company. And If the in came price is cheaper so what the F1 cars are worth 250,000 I gaurantee u schmacher doesnt drive a 250,000 dollar car.

So that you have those dream cars, why on earth do you spend time on PS2, GT3 and forums when you could polish, wax, detail and enjoy your babes on wheels ????????

And as far as I know, a 550 Ferrari costs 250.000 GBP (UK Sterlings that is, which is some 1.6 US$ to 1 GBP approximately...) I would agree that you have a CTR2 (about 85.000 GBP ~ 136.000 US$) but two RUFs and a 550...? Whoe !!

Also as you as a Ferrari owner, should be WELL aware that in order to be entitled / eligible to buy a 550, Ferrari wants to see that you have TWO other Ferraris and you have to sign a contract agreeing that you will NOT sell any of your Ferraris before a TWO years' time goes by.

And good news : If you ;

1) Take off without a spin / burnout Ferrari offers you a brand new car.

2) If you drive your 550 at its limits and from the "blackbox" if the factory (comparing with all the other data streaming in from the dealers) determines that you are the "roughest" driver, Ferrari grants you a bonus (secret as yet)

These are what I have heard. But as a genuine owner of THREE Ferraris and TWO RUFs, YOU should know better than a poor Renault owner like me...

Laters Rich pal... (BTW, could you spare a couple of hundred thousand bucks on a misfortunate one such as myself ??)

not all Japanese engines are made in mexico, btw.
And, as far as the reason ANY foreign car will last longer then any american car, and that most foreign cars will out perform domestic equivalents, (don't compare a hyundia to a viper, duh), the reason is pretty simple. Foreign automakers actually reinforce their engines. If you put a chevy 350 on the ground the bottom end will deform tremendously, however, if you put a honda engine on the ground you will get minimal damage (don't try this at home). Foreign engines are just stonger physically, and they have must tighter tolerance levels in their engineering.
I also think it is about time to retire OHV engines. I mean COME ON!!! is it so hard to put DOHC into engines? No, it isn't. The corvette grandsport did it.
Only recently has there been any sign of american automakers trying to make a good engine. And by good I mean throwing out the saying "there's no replacement for displacement". The best example is the new trailblaver engine. Finally, Inline 6, and it makes a ton of power! 270 if i remember correctly. Stop making those damn v-6's. I had an 85 fiero v6 with 110hp. 110HP!!!!! what the ****!!!! Ok, I'm done now :)

don't compare a hyundia to a viper, duh? what? you are comparing a Korean Car to an American car. First of all i said Japanese and German, and second of all, german cars are better in handling, looks, how long they last and comfort!

BTW: thank you for the support LoudMusic

I am not sure whether you understood my point or not. I know, hyundai is korean but I forgot what I was comparing when I was writing the post :)
I agree with german cars being mch better then japanese cars. But japanese cars are much better then american cars. And for the price/reliability ratio, japanese cars have it in the bag. Doesn't mean I would pass up a bmw for a honda however

i understood your point and agreed with everything you just said

I'd love to see what a japanese car would be if it were in the pricerange of a what we are talking about here. Anybody can sit down and design awesome cars if they think they're gonna be selling them for 200,000 smackers. with the pricetag comes even higher maintenence bills as well. so yes, german cars are better than most japanese makes, but they're aimed at a much different audience. Find me a 13k German car and then we will compare it to a civic, or the like :p Oh, and I'd almost rather have a Korean car than an american one. This is a defenite in some cases :D
peace,

Don't say KOREAN CARS !!!!!!!!!

I had a terrible experience with az Hyundai F Coupe !! It is absoloute CRAP !!! A very wide right-curve, (some 30 degrees at the most) 120 - 130 kph max speed and guess what happenedd ? The front left suspension "gave way" and when the aft-right tyre lost grip, SCREEEECH a door and fender srape against the barriers... Old car ?? At only 7500 kms clocked ???
C' maaawwwnnnnn !!!!

That car is a trap !!! I had to pay for the damage because it was my friend's car and he did not have a full extension insurance except compulsary traffic coverage...

I pity all the stuff WASTED on that heap of junk !!!

I would prefer a Skoda Octavia or even Fabia instead of the BEST Korean out there !!! Or maybe even a LADA Samara !!!

so you are telling me that a russian car is better than a korean, from what you sais it seems that you'r friend really had beat the s h i t out of his car and then handid it to you and it broke down with you!! tough luck man!!

I'd just like to say that RUF is not a wannabe porsche it is a better porsche. I have the original CTR and the CTR2 in my garage, and I'd take these out over my ferrari (550 MAranello) they'r ejust the greatest cars.

Obviously this guy is a collector of MATCHBOX-cars hehe :D

Blimey release the rage.

RUFs are an extension of Porsche. Not a bad start for a bit of modification. I've seen a race spec ruf, tear around Castle Combe circuit. Very impressive.

And whats this knocking skodas? Skoda has a fine rallying heritage.

At the end of the day anything works, (even that awful chrylser cruiser london taxi type thing) if you treat it to a bit of ROM, slicks and general tweakage.

As for reasons to own GT3 when you have a ferrari in the garage, well like duh! What are you gonna do whilst building Complex String in your backyard?

I can find you a 1996 BMW M3 for 13 thousand smackers

Why and which type of pathological finds do you refer to ? After all we are just drifting away every now and then...

You'll finish off the forum cause we will run out of topics if you stick to GT3 related issues every single second.

So please ease it down... :)

COBRA R against an S4...PLEASE!!! Overall the S4 would win because of the handling and top speed. The Cobra R would only win in accelaration.... And what car is that on your AVATAR?
