Rx-7 Club - VS - Evolution Club

Laguna Seca


__Rules:__
- You have to be a member, or participating member in one of said clubs threads.

- The use of a racecar/rally car is prohibited

- The ONLY modification that can be done is a set of Sports Tires

- The competition will start: Wednesday February 25, and end on Thursday February 26

Please post your FINAL LAP TIME(s) in BOLD

If a posted lap time is out of the ordinary, it will be discarded, and we will all label you a cheater.

So I take it it is an RX-7 versus a Evolution of some sort???

I could use a warm up before I make my re-appearance in the Weekly Series :D
 
I'm a member of the evo club and i'm gonna compete..
 
Yeah... Ill be participating in this... Im going to lead it with the Mitsubishi Evolution VI RS. Ill probably have another member whos going to participate.

Monster, should we post it on this thread? There is a big possibilty that someone would post up a false time... meaning they see your Time and post their time a few sec faster. Im not sure how we are going to settle this. Maybe we should pm my friend ryen... the time. So he could put up a comparison.

How do you want to do it? Just post your time on here or what?
 
If there is a questionable time, we will ask for the sector times and break it down that way :D Lets rock, when I get home, I'm on top of it :D'


edit - We are just doing a free run right. . . I am pretty sure but wanna make sure :D

^ Exactly. I have done enough break downs of time back in the weekly when I was running hard core in it when it first came out :D
 
Then it's settled.

If a questionable time is posted, a replay and or section times will have to be posted.

:lol: After the date line... look through all the bold times and post it up on the orginal post (edit it) so people could see. As for me... im not going to do it yet. Going to wait a few days.. have alot of homework.

i think the rx7 is too quick for the Evo
 
I'm not showing my hand here, but I'm running 1:31's with a lot of room for improvement.

How are things in the Evolution camp? :lol:
 
The Evolution camp is still figuring out which Evolution to go with. . . Currently after a conservative one lap test I believe the VI Rs is the car to beat woth the evolutions. . .

I beleive the 1'34.xxx I pulled with it can drop 5 seconds :D
 
You guys just wait... ill bring it. It seems like the RX7 are quicker on this track... but i wont give up just yet..

Im not too fond of this track... but good look.. ill try my best no doubt. Both great cars you wont find no excuses from me.

so far... my first test in the VII RS is 1'36.787 first lap... way more improvement can be made.

Like I said, I ran a very conservative lap. . . I didn't pusht the cars at all. . . :D

Considering that the RX-7 is favored by GT3, I feel this should quite interesting to see if we can get the Evolution within .5 seconds of the RX-7. . . Pkus using the car without even breaking it in is another issue here. . . I would be delighted to get it within .5 seconds.

I also ran the three RX-7s and see a ton of potential in them. . .
 
How do you guys think the Japanese cars will do against the Domestics on this track?

Japan VS America.. Hmm... They definitely have the hp/tq advantage
 
I'll take a Z06 versus a SKyline
Wouldn't mind a Mustang or a Camaro SS either :D
 
stock Camaro VS stock Skyline? I'll take that bet. :D
 
Stock SS versus a R33 . . . I think the only mods would be an oil change, Tires. . . hmmm, I'll think on this one, I'd rather have the Mustang, but I'll deal with the SS I think. . . . Why not the Z06 ??? :lol:
 
I'll race your Z06 if I can get a stg.3 weight reduction R34. :)

i feel like the RX7 is at advantage because of its cornering ability. i see understeer for the evo's...

perhaps this "battle" is unfair... maybe another track :confused:

or should we allow the evo to use AYC? or configure VCD settings?

yeah unda-unda ! the RX7 has a better corner entry and exit speed.

maybe we should go for Cote De Azure?

allow oil changes for the RX7s but no sport tires

sport tires AYC, VCD, LSD whatever for the Evos but no oil change ?
 
I think the Evolution would have an unfair advantage with an AYC controller. . . It is hard to equal out these two cars with stock settings dealing with AWD and RWD two different types of drivetrains. . . I think maybe taking the RX 7 and Evolution onto maybe a rally course would be fun :lol:
