RX-7 Particulars

A friend told me she is on the lookout for an RX-7 that comes with a large rear spoiler. I have told her that it is most likely an add on from the GT Auto shop but I am not sure. She mentioned the car was in GT4 as well. Can anyone help identify which RX-7 it is?

Could it be the RX-7 LM Race Car? Or is it a regular RX-7? Most of them look the same with small changes.

It seems as though all GT5 RX-7 cars were in GT4. As far as spoilers go, most of these have multiple versions so they look alike. The only one with a noticeable "large" spoiler is the LM Race Car. Most of them do have a spoiler, but they have a small one unless replaced with a larger one.

Its not the RX-7 LM. She mentioned it came in a base color of blue (from GT4, or that's what she remembers the color as). She sent me this picture though.

Although I am certain that car doesn't come standard with that wing.

That's the one I'm lead to believe based on how she describes it.

Definitely not that, she said it wasn't the LM car.

All of the ones from 2000 onward seem to have a similar spoiler. The ones before the 90s don't have one and the 90s ones have a very low spoiler. The Bathurst was a popular RX-7 in GT4 and the name sticks out over the other ones so I would probably say that is the one.

Not sure if this will help, but there is a 'pre-tuned' old skool RX7 - BP Falken Mazda that comes with an aftermarket spoiler as standard.

But, if your friends says it's later model in blue, then possibly it's the Bathurst as this is the only one with any kind of noticeable rear spoiler on it - as mentioned in the above posts.

The only other car it could possibly be is the Amemiya TUNED RX7 from the new dealership - this is LIGHT blue with a late model RX7with a big aftermarket spoiler and is a very good car, in fact it borders on the supreme if dialled in right (setup).

Go to the new dealerships, far right hand side, look in RE Amemiya tuned dealership and check the blue RX7 in there. I think it's 100,000 credits - or something like that.

An absolute bargain, it's a great car and being a premium car you can change the wheels on it, but unfortunately you can't respray it or change the aero package.

I'm kinda thinking this is the one you're after as it hasn't been mentioned yet on this thread.

The spirit r from the ncd has the biggest spoiler of all stock rx7's in gt5 and gt4

It wasn't the Bathurst Edition. What I was told is that it was in GT2 and had rims similar to the Spirit RX-7.

Amemiya RX-7 both the race and the drift car (the blue one) and the LM version have huge back spoiler.

Hi, the RX7 LM race car is about the best you can do. Tuned it's 739Hp. @ 1080Kg. Have fun...

She is certain the car was in a prior GT game and it can't be the RX-7 LM. Sorry for the vagueness. I'm just as confused as everyone is.

That's what I suggested to her. Heck, all of the RX-7 A-Spec cars had the tall wings as well. This isn't going anywhere anytime soon it seems. That car isn't in GT5 though.

Tried that with the Bathurst. She didn't like that at all. She's a car buff so its not going to work on her.
