S Class Races

Enough of the damn cars stopping in front of you to get a collision penalty. It is BS. Enough of the cars ramming into you to get a penalty. I got through S-6 ok but 7 and 10 are BS with the damn collision and ramming penalties. Just BS.

i found S7 and S10 difficult i still am, however i'm not picking up penalties, are you sure your not misjudging the breaking points and then going in too fast and slamming into the car in front ?

The S class events have very high difficulty so your braking points have to be professional.

If you are being rammed constantly then you are braking too early.

I tried s7 or 8 just before and only a few close calls where i almost rammed a couple of people.

But since all the cars are different you have to take into account your cars braking performance Vs theirs.

For example i was in the tuned corvette, chasing a big heavy r34 i could go much deeper under brakes so i had to be careful not to hit him when he jumped on the anchors earlier.

And also you should never get a penalty for being rammed into under brakes. Its only when you turn into someone as they are passing you or similar.

But the tuned Lotus 111R from "Concept GT" cars. In quick tune the least weight and most power becomes exactly 700 points...
This can then monster anything in them races especially Suzuka where top speed isn't as important as acceleration and cornering, which the Lotus excels at.
The only place you'll struggle a bit over the two circuits is the main straight on Fuji, where you'll max out at about 175 ish in 6th.
However that car can kill anything in those two races and if you drive carefully and take each overtaking manouvre at a time then you'll be fine

Sounds like we've got a bit of apples and oranges discussion here. In spec II (which is what you get on the disc) S7/S10 are 700pp races and the penalties are excessive. In spec III (if you've updated your game) S7/S10 are 750pp races and the penalties are very light.

PD ruined it with the stupid excessive penalties in S Class and Dealership races.

You can have it. I finished 8 of the 10 S class races and I have to say GT5 Prologue 5 is just no damn fun anymore.

The BS penalties ruined this game.

It's called Standard physics.

These events are possible to clear.
I cleared S7 by a tuned Viper SRT-10 with PRO physics, manual gearbox and no driving aids, and S10 by Mine's GT-R BNR34, but in this case I had to turn the physics setting to Standard.

Oh my!!. Dude, it's just a game. I'm stuck on S10 and can't get higher than 8th, but I love the challenge of figuring out the fastest way around the corners without rolling off the couch in the process!

Challenge yourself to constantly improve lap times and driving line. Winning will come once you've figured out the right line and tehniques. Maybe, just like me, you're too old for this game and our reflexes are toast!

I am puzzled by your complaint about penalties. I find the penalty level in the S races reasonable, and maybe even too easy. This was not the case in Spec II. The penalty level was excessive in in Spec II. Even so many of us completed all the races in Spec II.

In Spec III the penalties were reduced significantly, to the point where you can beat on the AI cars quite a bit without a penalty.

Than you need an update bro. Ask other member before you start bashing this game. Again, there is a reason why they called this Prologue💡 instead of GT5. I've been updating the game as PD had stated, so I don't know the techical aspect of how you go about doing it. I'm sure after you update the game, you'll learn to love it again...👍

lol.. Let the kat have a shot at this man. When I first started this game, I was frustrated at how hard it was too. Eventually I learned the nature of the game and fell in love with it. Flaming him will only discourage him further. TRY STANDARD PHYSICS and let us know your experience good or bad.👍

Good that you completed the events The game is much more fun for you now, right?
As for me, I didn't suck at the game when I felt S7 and S10 difficult. I just tried again and improved my driving skills and car setting.

When you grow up a little and then go back to read these posts. You will be ashamed of yourself. Forums isn't good when you're angry. Try activating yourself instead.
