S-video cable

I just read in my PS2 owner's manual that a cable exists to plub a S-video cable between my TV (NTSC) and the PS2...

Is this cable easy to find in North America?
Is this cable giving a better image resolution and overall quality than the red-white-yellow normal cable, especially for the GT4 game?

what the hell is 'plub'?? don't go cheap, use component cables...they're better.

after reading these threads i will definitly be buying a S-video cable. My only problem is that i have my audio run into my home theater system and the video run straight into my tv. That is possible with the stock PS2 cable by splitting the 3 wire cable. both the madcatz and monster S-video cables are bundled at the end. any ideas?

get an optical cable for the audio - that way the two lines can go into seperate places.
