I did a search for Honda S2000 LM and found nothing about this (I am sorry if I did happen to overlook it though).

Anyway, did anybody notice on the S2000 LM that you can buy new from the Honda dealer, that the different colors have the same #30 on the roof and side, but the number plate on the hood contains a different number?

I just bought the purple one (I was tired of Red and Blue racecars), and the numbers on the roof and side are 30, while the hood has number 33 on it. :dunce:

Interesting. I hadn't noticed it, and I bought the purple one too, also just to be different. I only bought it to do a drag tune for someone, and figured I'd never use it again anyway, so who cares if it's an ugly color?

Just another one of those glitches in GT4.
It's pretty cool to find out about and makes you wonder what PD was doing when finishing this car up.

I don't think this is a glitch.

In fact, I think there is something to it, I just don't know what it is. :p

On that note...
Can anyone tell me what's special about the #4 FTO LM? ;)

They all have #4 on their hood, but different numbers on the side too?

AFAIK, mirrored text is deliberate, because GT is italicized, thus looks pretty stupid going the other way. Many race cars have mirrored text on the "wrong" side, just to keep the car pretty.

BINGO, another example is the C-West RAZO Silvia

Many of the cars have mirrored images.

However, I'm still wondering, what's special about the #4 FTO LM.

The one attempted answer above is wrong.

So take a shot if you've got one.
Otherwise I will come back and edit this to display something close to an answer (although the true answer I do not know, hence my question!)

It's got different coloured mirrors?

I've only got a pic of the No.6

One thing for sure is that the #4 car is not available in Arcade Mode.

I think you're all starting to see what I was getting at...

There is no #4 FTO LM.

For some reason they made the car run through the number scale straight up to 8... 1,2,3, etc etc, with each new color the number goes up by one.

However, at 3 it just skips to 5.
So I wonder if there is something special about the #4.

Do you think there is a real world race car with the #4 that PD was trying to give respect to?

Maybe something else similar to that?

Possibly an attempt to leave a certain number "retired"?

If any of you get some info on this please share.
I did some google work but got nothing. :(

Maybe it was a certain car in real life they couldn't use. So they decided to add their own numbers?
You know like, #4 is the real deal, and the rest are PD creations.

It might very well be that way. But, does every car has its own number assigned in every race(IRL)??? NO.

There is a possibility where they do not put in the #4 as it means "Death" to some culture. Is there any #13 car inside???

You may have a good point. I haven't checked if there's a #13 car or not, but look at the RX-7 LM color collection.

The #7 car is the only one written in red and it has this special "Lucky 7" font.

Actually there is a thing with the #4, in japanese, the Number 4 is considered bad luck, hence why Takuma SAto is doing horrible this year!

That might also have something to do with his driving skill. ;)

I found the number 4 FTO, i think i was very lucky to win it, If you look closely you can see that the number 4 is indeed the sign of evil and imagine how shocked i was when i saw some devil horns sticking out the top!!! :nervous:
