Can you tell us when we guess wrong?
You used the singular (champion), indicating you're not looking for a team. That eliminates a lot of possibilities. It could be Tiger Woods or Lance Armstrong, but neither of them are technically world champions (I don't think golf has a singular global championship, and the Tour de France isn't one). Since motorsports is the main centralized intrest of this site, I'm assuming it's one of those. Sebastian Loeb or Michael Schumacher, most likely.
And I can't think of anything more specific then 'starts with s' to connect either of them to SA. :p
 
its got nothing to do with the word SA or San Andreas, its something in the game.

Its not Tiger, Lance, Micheal or Leob and its not Ali.

It is a champion, Male, Current as in 2004 title holder and probably 2005 as well once the seasons finished.

Although, he has something in common with many characters in SA as he is male ... so technically that could be correct :p

Depending on where you are when you see us depends on which one of us you see.
Finding us is very easy.
