Hehe, that name has a nice ring to it. I decided to run around the whole SA map the other day. The idea was born cause I like doing the Triathlon races, those are only available during the weekends and it was only wednesday. I ran off to the Pizza place to stack up on some fat, I didn't want to burn away to much muscle during the run. I figured 20% fat should be about right so I headed towards the bridge in west Santos (Northwest of Santa Maria Beach). I decided to use the it as the starting spot. I would start at Thursday 00.00 and run as close to the edge of the map as it possible then return to the same stop for the finish.
I sprinted off in to the countryside at 00.00 in to what I thought would be a long and uneventful run. My plan didn't include dodging traffic all the way to Fiero. You really get to see just how aweful the highway traffic A.I. really is. There was an accident every few seconds and it only got worse and worse as the number of heavy vehicles started spawning. Trucks kept crashing in to everything. Cars, bikes and other trucks where sliding towards the outside edge and into the ocean, unfortunatly thats where I was running. I was manovering around burning wrecks and freeway projectiles most of the time. I was hoping to get a break from the mayhem cause there was a beach coming up, there didn't seem to be a natural way down to it, but rather a steap cliff so I stayed on the grass along the road. The fog rolled in somewhere around Angel pine and everything got out of hand in the Mt. Chilliad tunnel. Cars came in sliding on their roofs and kept starting off explosions left and right. The whole thing was starting to look like an over the top action flick with really bad drivers.
When I got to the beach that streches for most of Fiero things calmed down. It turned in to a quiet jog along the waterfront. The water is really shallow there so its a perfect place to get your lung capacity up for that Woozie mission.
At the end of day one I hit the Gant bridge, the plan was to use the maintenance planks to get onto the bridge (the same ones you use to getting in to Jizzy's place), they go all the way up, well thats what I used to think and lost about 4 hours backtracking to get on the bridge. When I got to the other side the mountain range along the coast proved to high to climb. I followed it until I could get to the cliffs that run along the coast. Grass truned to sand and I got caught in a sandstorm. Around 15.00 C.J started to get hungry. I ran down the hills towards the little town with the worlds biggest co... chicken. There is a snack machine there, that I use when I'm at the airfield. After the quick snackbreak I headed back north to the hills and then east towards Venturas.
I got there around 20.00. An hour later I started loosing muscles cause I had burned all the fat. At the end of day two I had reached Spinybed north of Venturas. Not much happened here and I crossed the railroad bridge out of Venturas at 9.00
At 12.00 I was back in Los Santos, the docks proved to be a bit messy to get to but I plotted a course on the map and It worked out. There are red cranes alone the edges at the docks, I passed around them to ensure that I didn't take any shortcuts. When day 3 came to an end I was between the airport and Verona beach. At 4.20 I rounded the lighthouse in Santa Maria beach and at 5.44 I crossed the finishline at the bridge.
I had covered 25,971.44 m in 3 days, 5 hours and 44 minutes. It turned out to be more fun that I though it would and I got back in time for a Triathlon.
