The CBS commentators weren't so good, but what I really hated about this race was the italian coverage. I was like, "Ugh, we saw Ferrari enough already. Can you please show JPM beating KR!" Oh, and them not showing more than 10 seconds of in car cameras really annoyed me.
 
First of all, thank god TSN had ITV coverage from UK with live timing (race started at 6am mountain time).

Too bad it was a crappy race though. It's like there weren't any cars on the track except for Schumi and Alonso, I didn't see ONE single pass between any of the cars, and lastly, it was just plain boring. Waste of space on the VCR.

I've been having high hopes for F1 again since that Bahrain race, now that was something. I just want to see race with passing and Kimi win. Am I asking too much? I guess so.. :sick:
 
Ide is absolutely terrible. He is at least 1.5 seconds slower than Taku and well Taku is probably getting pretty close to all he can out of the car. He really is a danger to all the other drivers on the track.

Looks like with Jenson, the lollipop guy forgot what he was doing at that point in the race. :lol: Good thing no one got hurt! 👍

My goodness, what was up with the Italian coverage? I understand it's the team's home race, but c'mon. The 99% Ferrari coverage was ridiculous.
People say F1 is boring... race directors should take some of the blame. I'm sure there was SOME kind of action going on mid-pack.

I don't know about that. I didn't really notice anyone changing position. At least Schumi didn't get so far away; he at least had Alonso on his butt for half the race. That was sort of interesting.
 
Amp, do you have the last frame of the pop sliding over his head? I think the three would make a killer .gif. :)

At one point the commentor said Montoya was really close to Massa, fighting for the 4th position. But I didn't get to see it.

I guess with the coverage focusing on Schumacher, all of the Ferrari fans were happy. And because of that coverage on Schumacher, Alonso also got a whole lot of coverage, Spain must have been going nuts.
 
The Italian director is a retard. No he really is. Personally if I paid money to advertise on a Formula 1 car I'd consider sueing(sp). Quite frankly no teams other than Ferrari and Renault got airtime. I saw a Midland flip but I can't read things upside down so I wouldn't call that airtime either.
 
I thought the race was decent. Another Alonso vs Schumacher battle. Congrats to Schuey for his first proper race win since Suzuka 2004. The number of mistakes Alonso made was pretty unexpected. And yes, the lack of passing here is annoying (I think I read somewhere that Imola's going to be redesigned next year.). And I don't think the CBS commentators are so bad.
 
I think it was either mentioned in here or mentioned during the broadcast, but I had also heard Imola is going to be redesigned by none other than all of ours favorite Herman Tilke.
