It'l be interesting to see how many places Alonso can make off the start. I suspect he'll pass atlest one of the Hondas.
 
I just saw the GP2 series and the Porsche Super Cup at Imola.
Gp2 series are not that much slower than F1 cars. And I was surprised to see that even the Porsches are pretty quick.
 
What's happened this week guys? Usually this thread's a few pages long with all the practice and qualifying times, now we've just got complaints about commentators. Seems like Blake was our rock. I hope he's having a good time and I hope he's getting that Kimi poster I bribed him to get me.
 
I think the fact that the site has been down for a fair chunk of the weekend has something to do with that. ;)

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how well the Ferrari's and Honda's can fend off Alonso at the start.
 
Not long now to the start....

Im thinking this could be the chance for Button if the engine doesnt blow up again.... but I predict carnage at the first corner! Ferrari could also pull it out of the bag, thats the general feeling around...

....also, I didnt know Bernie Ecclestone had a daughter, Tamara.....:sly:

Oh dear, that wasn't a fantastic stop by Button. :indiff: I admittedly burst out laughing as all the mechanics got thrown in the air. :sick:

CBS is so stupid. Their website said the race was on LIVE at EIGHT.

Now it says they're playing it at 1pm. I HATE CBS. Lol.

Interesting race with a great result from my point of view! :)

12 drivers on the lead lap too. What a slow pace from the leaders due to Schumacher's tyre troubles (again)
 
I hope someone got a pic of Button wiping out his pit crew. :lol: :scared:
 
What a boring race.

The TV just focused on that boring Schumacher with that boring Alonso with that boring never-passing situation. What about the other 20 pilots? What happened to Coulthard?

Extra boring:
-> Fanatic Tifosi (I've had enough of Ferrari)
-> Ferrari itself, RB and JT
-> Luca de Montezemolo showing his 560,000 Euro suit

I even recorded it on DVD. Why? Never will see it again.

Quit San Marino, quit Budapest, quit Spain and Monaco.
 
That racing was pretty boring...

Alonso didn't even try that hard to overtake Schumacher, just tried to bug the hell out of him.

After this race I think I'l appreciate the newer, much much wider tracks considerably more.
 
Fernando probably figured he'd try to pressure Michael into making a mistake.

I can't wait until 1pm. Damn CBS.

I hate using this line but, the guys a 7 times world champion, you don't just make a mistake cause someone is pestering you.
 
well, Ide has outdone his team-mate by far, and it only took him until lap 1 of race 2.

Funny if not understandable interview with Albers though
 
Good race, delivering something most people awaited this season (Schumi vs Alonso, battle of the world champions). Again Honda can't concretise what progress they show in qualify, with Button guetting a pitstop mistake (that lollipop man better have gotten Subway for lunch...). Disappointing race for Raikkonen, both BMWs, Toyota too but good effort. Now wondering if Ide's return to the race after a long time at the pit marks his last laps for Super Aguri. :indiff:

Alonso went for the points instead of the show. Had to take it safely after nearly losing the car but gave much pressure to Michael, who was running on used tyres. Bridgestone's was quite surprising here, and contributing to Ferrari's first win since Suzuka 2004. 👍

An historical weekend at Imola as Schumacher takes Senna's Pole Position record and the win before the circuit gets a makeover for next year, from the hand of Mr.Tilke.

I'm not saying that he would've made a mistake. He didn't. But, Alonso HAD to try.

Plus, Michael bit it last race, so anything could've been possible.

Every year they air this crap to the public, it hurts to listen to 'em. It's almost too dumbed down. I think we would have a better fanbase if Varsha and co. were doing their thing on network TV.

Yeah, the announcers made it a boring race, as well as the action.

I hate Imola. It's sooooooo damn booooooooorrrrrrrriiiiiiiinnnnnngggggggggggg...

Watching Alonso try to pass Schumacher for nearly half the race was painful and frustrating. Funny how it was an exact opposite of what happened last year at Imola. Alonso holding off Schumi for the lead. Meh...

Watching Mr. Steroid jerking number 709 would've been more fun, I thinks. I would have enjoy the race more if Fisi did something worthy.

Though second place is a great place to finish if you can't get first, this race still leaves me feeling cold and unsatisfied. Meh...

I hope Nurb in two weeks proves more entertaining.
 
i really like what they did with the track, adding at least one new chicane. (i think just one)...

but great track and race too
