Cant for the life of me do this as the only cars I have are vipers which are pathetic to drift.

Help....

Vipers can drift extremely well, look in the tuning forum, shumogt has put drift tunes that I personally have had good results from.

Perhaps I am offside here but have you watched the replays of the leaders? They give a pretty good idea how fast and wich line you should drive.
It allways help me and perhaps it can be done in a Viper.
Good luck and let us know if you golded:)

I took a Dodge Challenger '10 completely stock on Comfort Hards. I'm really not a drifter and I don't know the first thing about drifting setups, but that was remarkably easy to control with the stock setup.

Thanks for the replies guys,

I was being too edgy I think, once I started drifting nearer the racing line I got gold no prob.

Cheers

Drifting for points in GT5, is all about the racing line. Hug that line with speed and angle, and watch your score go up. 👍

Great job getting gold.:) 👍

Thanks mate.

If you just want to get gold, use Shelby Cobra 427 ´66 and Comfort Soft tires!

try the Buick special, you will find it easy to drift
If you don't have this car, it's the prize for winning the "Classic Muscle Car Championship" in A spec. Lob on some comfort hards, a ton of camber on the back wheels and it will drift forever.

I'm usually terrible at drifting but I got just under 12000 with the GT350 ...It's now my favourite drift car!

My GT350 is a terrible drifter. :yuck: I even detuned it, added a bit of weight to the back, still couldn't do anything with it. I maxed out around 4,500 - 5,000 points after an hour and changed to a different car.

I used the Chevelle SS and it did very well... for my (lack of) skill level.

For the Sarthe event, my new favorite drift car is the Supra RZ. Found a great tune for it in the drifting forum... I was skeptical at first, but probably the easiest car I've ever used. Got over 7K on the Nur event and I hated drifting before. I love it with that car.👍

I typically use the Red and Yellow Drifter RX7 thing. That does well. When I get bored, I'll try the Mustang Mach 1, with stupidly stiff suspension and a massive load of engine upgrades.

Feeling lucky? Someone should try to get the High Score in the R10 or 908. I'd give them major props.
