I love that nose! Looks great, a little worrying about the lack of sponsors but the colours and the details on the car are great. The colours look a little bits and bobs though, the black bits on the wings look like they are half-painted, like it was going to be all BMW-coloured like last year but they didn't finish making those bits till later.
So I expect this car to look completely different by season's end colour-wise.

Edit: The wheels look awesome too!

Well this is underwhelming. I thought Peter Sauber's name alone would bring sponsors in droves.

Hopefully Sauber have some sponsors to announce by the time Bahrain comes around. The car looks great, I'd be very pleased if it's a competitive one.

I think this is going to be my favourite driver+car+team combination of 2010. Kobayashi and that car should be great

Putting Kobayashi's butt in the seat would have done the same I would have thought.

Like the nice colour adjusted BMW livery, and I'm sure sponsors are still to be put on.

Seeing as this is the latest thread, heres finally a decent comparison shot that appears to be using a similar camera angle and zoom for once:

If nothing else, it helps compare the basic shapes of the cars, I don't think we should take too much measurement out of it.

I like it, doesn't look like a competitive car though. Methinks it will be sitting around the lower half of the grid. Hope not, though.

That's a super-high nose.

This.

It reminds of the Williams FW-26. The nose is something completely new, but it doesn't look like it's going to work. I also thought we were going to see more colours on the Sauber car, just when I was getting bored of the BMW livery Sauber just adjusted the colours. I don't know what to think of this car, as long as Kobayashi can give us some fireworks it's all allright.

^ I think its more like the Ferrari F60's nose:

The Williams walrus nose was a lot different.

I think its reasonable to assume this could be a quick car, after all, its still a car designed in the same place that came up with the F1.08. And we all remember the last manufacturer that funded a team with top line facilities (although granted, the Brawn had the most resources spent on it ever).
I think the livery will definitely change later on, its obviously a repainted BMW design, which suggests its just an interim livery while they secure sponsors.

Ah, sorry about the misunderstanding. What I meant with the FW26 bit is that this Sauber nose looks as different from the other cars as the FW26 looked different from its rivals back in '04, even though only 4 cars have been revealed so far, or perhaps even 5. Don't get me wrong though, I'd love to see Koba fighting in the midfield, but I just can't stop thinking that nose looks so '90-ish...

Well, yeah, I agree, but thats no bad thing, I'd rather have variety in the field than a load of Red Bull-Newey clones.
I don't think such a nose design should suggest it might be a bad car - its been a successful design before.

Although some may sya the nose is too high, what only matters os the functionality of the design and if it's aerodynamically efficient. I like it, i also like the new rims, the livery is bland but so was Brawn's last year and look how that turned out :)

hmmm, I like the car as a whole but I really hate the way the front wing is attached, looks super ugly.

I was rather under-whelmed to begin with, though that may have only been because I saw shots taken at an angle because it's grown on me. It actually looks pretty aggressive, but in a different way to the MP4-25. It doesn't have the elegance of the McLaren, but I don't think it needs it.

And that's a very high nose it's got going there.
Very nice, clean design. Pleasing to the eye, but how quick I wonder?
If they look quick, they usually are quick. This thing looks like a scythe.

This car looks very good. It's weird to see wheels like that on an F1 car. I'm used to BBS style or spats.

Whow!! That looks super awesome!!! I love the paintjob, wheels and... Just say this will be my favourite team :)

I believe that Kobayashi could bring us surprise. But let's just hope for it ;) De La Rosa could also do well.

I like the style of it, its a fairly cool looking car (with a rather bland paintjob unfortunately). The cars all appear to look rather different, which goes some way to reminding me exactly why f1 shouldn't be a spec series, with spec aeros.

Also, how cool are the alloys. :D

I love the fact that the nose is about a foot longer than anyone elses...

I wonder how many of those will get wiped off in the first corner this year?!

C.

Those wheels are absolutely fantastic! I love Black & White together!

There was an interview on autosport a while ago with Peter and he confirmed it.
I found quite a few links about it actually:

:p

The FIA have not released a finished entry list yet, and Sauber's (re)entry was confirmed after the previous list was published. Apparently the FIA are releasing an updated list soon, which will feature Sauber (presumably after they have confirmed USF1 are not going to make it).
Sauber are still expected to change their name before the start of the season, but there is no indication of that happening yet. I hope they do though, its going to be very silly to see "BMW Sauber Ferrari" everywhere
