Is there any way of getting save data to another user? It says it's protected

Sorry, no answer but very similar question. Had a glitch with my PS3. Came back after sending my b-spec into another Indy 500 for like the millionth time to turn it back on and find that everything was in slo-mo. Rebooted and the drive wasn't working. Let it cool down and everything so far is OK but doubt it will last long. B-spec is killing my first gen PS3. Is there a way to transfer the save game to a PS3 slim that I own and use? Or is it coded to the hardware?

I would "try" signing into your PSN account on your slim then copy the save game onto a USB stick but DON'T delete it from the Fat Ps3 (incase this method fails). Copy it from USB to save game data and boot up GT5.

It works if you sign in using the same PSN account. I have 3 PS3.

if the user uses the same psn as you, then it will work. otherwise, you're out of luck
