As we close in on a year and a half of GT6, I am going to once again ask for a tire and wheel editor in the custom parts section of the game. I mean, it's an easy enough feature to allow the user to scale the tires and change the track base of a car if needed.

Just look at this:

That is an AMAZING looking GT-R and since the ability to scale tires is already in the game (hackers do it), why not throw a few people on it to polish up for public consumption? Just imagine the amount of variety in cars if we could adjust tire width as well!

I know this might just get thrown in the trash, but I really think that something like this would be a really refreshing addition. I loved when Forza had it and I think it's a real shame the GT doesn't especially since personalizing cars is such a fundamental aspect of the game.

Too complicated for the casuals, Kaz doesn't want to push away his fans with things they can't get their head around.

Although most people don't know how to cope with the tuning options that we have currently...

Of course I would love a feature like this, tire sizes is a must for anything claiming to be a "sim" seeing as it's one of the first and most basic modifications you can do to a car.

This is why Forza is miles ahead in car customization , we have almost nothing in GT. Can't even resize my tires , if you got a 800+ hp 70's muscle car , you have to use small tires and it just looks bad.

Forza tyres are pretty tiny as well... You normally can't size them up that well... they have the 70 GTR and the tyres are nothing like that.

Did. Now how do I unlook?

The point is that you could do SO much with personalising your car if they gave us access to tire and wheel scaling. Instead, we have the car pictured below, which I think looks like it is BEGGING for an upgrade.

That's a drug dealing pimpmobile, not a performance oriented car.

I agree that we need tire scaling, but that hideous piece of ghetto trash is the wrong example.

Is that better for y'all?

There are times when this forum is a bit out of touch. I can appreciate all the car trends even if I don't necessarily endorse the culture that surrounds them. Do you know why GT3 was the best selling so far? Because it released at the height of the sport compact craze. Right now, stance is still the thing. I'm sure there are folks out there that think rat rods are sacrilege. Different strokes. Would I stance a car? Maybe. It depends on what I would do with the car. If it was a boulevard cruiser, then sure. I don't see it as any less ridiculous than the Pro-Street Look.

I think this is a ruined GT-R

But I'm sure that there are a lot of people that only do drag rooms that would disagree.

I think extremes are the perfect example. The same car can exist in many unique forms to suit the builder, and that's the point. I'd probably build a track GT-R and Stanced GT-R and MAYBE a drag GT-R just because I could!
