Intend to tonight to see if I can compete or just make a fool of myself on a road course. What time will you be on?
 
Ill host a open room tonight guys for some practice name of the room will be lvl30/friend or boot. ill get other people in for connection tests.
 
Update 1.06 - SCANA Will Make Changes to how it runs with this new update. In order to create a more realistic NASCAR series, it is possible what we will have tire wear changes & power changes. After testing.

・Introduction of Performance Points in Online Races
We've now introduced Performance Points (PP), a numerical index of a car's performance for online races. You can set PP restrictions in the online race regulations (in Open Lobby, My Lounge) to limit participating cars.

・More Car Settings
Gear ratio adjustment, power limiters, and weight adjustment have been added to the settings. For details see [18. Settings Guide] in the [Manual] accessible from the main menu.

Reduce Power of these cars:

-Realistic running speeds
-Reduce the effect of the draft
-Realistic Daytona Races

・More Event Settings in Online Races
[Auto Race Start Cycle] and [Tire Wear/Fuel Consumption] have been added to the event settings for online races (in Open Lobby, My Lounge).

Slower tire wear:

-Reduce the tires fading more than 50% after 10 laps.

・Using the Course Maker in Online Races
You can now use one of the "My Courses" created in [Course Maker] for your online races (in Open Lobby, My Lounge), or select themes and generate courses on the spot. (Please note you'll only be able to use My Courses created after this update)

[Corner Bank Angle] has been added to the section settings in [Course Maker].

Perhaps a chance to run more ovals before season end.
 
Are we going to be using any custom settings for tonight's race, or are we going out as if the new options in 1.06 don't yet exist? We aren't going to actually run lower power at non-Daytona track, are we?
 
I'm hoping we'll continue this series as though those features haven't come out.
 
Going to give tonight a miss guys, had no time to find a setup I'm comfortable with to run road courses (even if only High Speed Ring).

With the loss of my race admin today, I have decided to pause this series. I need to think carefully about the future of scana on gt5.

Best thing to do is have a poll for another Race Admin. You can't vote for yourself and only SCANA members can vote.
 
Two week and we will start again. This should be enough time for me to get my ducks in a row.

As mentioned before, I lost my race admin. I need a volunteer that is up for the task. Please privately contact me with your interest, and a few short sentences of glamor.

I should have all of the testing ironed out for the race as well. I can tell you guys for sure we will be slowing the cars down. By how much will be determined by testing.

Can we do a testing session tomorrow? I need about 6-8 guys. We will find the right HP for the series.

Gtuuk and Nitro say that 532 to 550 is right HP. We need to find a speed where these cars do not dip below 195 in the corners, hooked up and drafting.

At Indy we will run 850HP

Most likely the rest of the tracks will will run 850HP. Besides Daytona.
 
If you want to go as fast as they do when hooked up, you'll need higher than 550hp for sure, but solo lap times will be extremely fast in comparison.
