With full HP, a good qualifying time is a mid to high 58 second lap. When in the actual race, running 1 minute flat times seems to be a good pace. If you try and go faster than that, your tires wear too much.
 
I'm actually upset lol. I've been wanting to run this race specifically for a while now but I will be out of town tomorrow and unable to participate. Pretty pissed...

Good question, I was looking forward to running at this track all week and was very let down. whether we have folded or not I am not participating in any more gt5 leagues. Once ntg 2011 come out chances are I wont be playing gt5 much anymore anyways.

Thinking the samething' only way i come back to gt5 is if ntg2011 is a complete bust
Honestly on the league thing' i have only seen a few survive and those have been madden football leagues .............

Providing NTG 2011 delivers and has no major issues online, then I wouldn't mind in running a proper NASCAR series. Kind of been thinking about it alot recently, so we'll see what happens.

Yea fuzzy that was what I had in mind myself. All I have done in gt5 is play nascar over and over. I will say I do have my hopes set high so I hope it does deliver, and I am hoping online runs pretty smooth. If this is the case hopefully we can run a real nascar series in game. My main concern is that they just get the physics right. If online is lacking in features other than races that is all good. Just want the gameplay to be legit.

edit: and I really hope the blowovers online are spectacular like in nr2003
 
For those that did not know, or if it was not blatantly obvious enough, Scana has officially ended. It was good racing boys, I hope to see you all out there online in the near future and can't wait to race with yall in the new game coming out this month. Happy hunting and have fun.

SCANA is done. I have lost interest in running this series on GT5. May we look to the future for better games that depict NASCAR. Serious competition is not desirable for myself and GT5. I have grown increasingly frustrated over the months. We lost something while playing GT5. We lost the 'fun' and we must get it back!

Looking back, I wish I had started the season sooner than later. We all have grown tired of GT5's lack of features for league racing. GT5 is a great game, and has a lot of great features. But where it makes up in the graphics and loads of cars, it fails in its online features. PD needs more time to learn what and how people use online for.

NTG:2011 is coming out soon. I have read a article that states "this version does not have league friendly features..." ...but future version can have it if our customers want it.." So, even with this game, it seems we may not have the best options for running a league. But at least we will have all of the drivers, and tracks. But where it fails the most is the ability have only 16 players online at one time.

I do not pretend to that I have not judged NTG already, but I try not to expect too much from game when I have not played it yet.

I had a lot of run racing with you guys. And I look forward to see you out there on the track when ever I am online. I have a really fun short track I have made for online. I hope you guys join me in trying to make GT5 & Nascar an enjoyable experience.

I hope I can have 'fun' again on GT5.. See you later.

I do not want to promise anything, but I want to get about 10 guys on the track to try out my short track. I think its a blast to turn right. Its a fast track, 20 secs to make a lap. See you tonight if you want.

Sounds fun man, I will definitely check it out. Also I read the same thing about ntg 2011 and read about the lack of online features which imo is ok b/c this is the pilot game for hopefully an amazing series. I just hope they get the physics right so that it is a strong sim racing contender with other games like gt5 and forza 3. The end of this month cannot come soon enough, I am tired of the same old tracks and I just need a new game in general.
 
So I gave away personal info for barely anything... it's ok, it's tough to run a league anyways.

If Chad will let one of us take control of SCANA then it may not die. I'd hate to see this series go.

I will not be allowing anyone else to use SCANA. I have to see what NTG does before I release it.
