The next game due for release, and as far as i can see, will be a proper race simulation full of strategy on and off track. I think the response that Eutechnyx received from the three of us was positive. They know that the core of SCC is good in terms of basic racing. Online racing has always been good and with the latest patch the A.I. is vastly improved aswell. So fingers crossed for the next game.

I think the three of us were chosen because;

1) We come from the UK. Eutechnyx is based in the UK, so it was easier for them in terms of timetables ( their's and ours) and expenses.
2) I think the three of us are fairly fast with the game but it was probably more down to our nationality. Hopefully in the future they'll invite players from different countries.

PS: Seems to be alot of new faces on this forum. So feel free to add me if you want; PSN : MHailwood.

Can't really tell you too much but as you probably already know by now SCC will be released in North America in the near future. It'll have a slightly different name aswell!

Hmmm.... will there be any different/additional content?

Really, it would seem that the key question is: what kind of budget will they have? Eutechnyx seems to be on the right track from my perspective, in that they have produced games focused on the physics & the actual racing, but there's a limit to what can be achieved with a limited amount of funding.

Thanks for the feedback!

I'll take it that what you have tryed would be the "licensed racer" from Eutechnyx :). Any chance of an hint about which series it'll reproduce? (starts with an F, ends with an T, and has the letters I, A and G in-between?! :dopey:)

Any indication of when will it be release (Prior to GT5 :dopey:?! or the end of the world - whatever comes first)

hey sarrinen, you got me excited, and i wanna be yourself, i wanna visit eutechnyx too..
please tell us the menu cheat code

and a lot of info about the new racer will be welcomed from us..

Keep in mind that FC & SCC were commissioned and paid for by System 3. And while I don't doubt Ferrari Challenge had a decent budget, compared to what PD or EA pays for development, it was probably considered a 'budget' game. The next two games Eutechnyx are working on are with a different publisher and it's pretty clear that they're taking a different approach. There are many software houses out there that make PC sims and manage to make some very realistic racing games on a faction of the budget that EA provides. And while they may lack the polish of a GT, they don't feel like they've been thrown together over a few months like SSV8.

What I'm expecting in their next game is something similar to SSV8 in function but with better physics, better graphics and better game play.

Firedshot you've spoilt all the fun! Can just imagine everybody on the menu screen trying different button sequences and combinations!
As punishment we must race tonight at Virginia with the F50GT for 20 laps. You certainly won't need to go to the gym after that!

So guys, how about a brief report on your visit to Eutechnyx. Who did you meet, what did you see, how many people work there, did you talk to any of the developers, etc, etc, etc...

I know you can't mention any specifics of their up coming titles but I'm sure everybody would enjoy a little synopsis of how this whole adventure came about.

Just read it! (I hadn't looked over there yet today). Nicely done! And it sounds like you guys had a good time. (You should have taken a few pictures!) I've always appreciated the fact that Eutechnyx is willing to listen to user feedback, more than any other developer I know. I have a lot of hopes and expectations for their new games.

Well done! I liked specially the part where you said they are 4 secs a lap slower than you! I am almost as competitive in the game has the guys who actually produced it! HURRAY! (this has been very nice to my ego!) :D

I didn't mention pictures to them as a joke and never really got a reply. The again i said i was going to record Hailwoods set-up on my phone :)

I e-mailed systems 3 yesterday about a North America release; here is their quick response:

Hi there. Thanks for your email.
We are in talks to release the game in the US this summer, however it will probably only be a PSN release.
Many US racing fans already do play the PAL version on their US machines. . . You should try visiting the game’s forums (search google for Eutechnyx forums) and you’ll be able to talk to people there who have done it :)

So I will wait before buying a PAL version.

Cheers racers!

Seems... strange. I would love to have this game, but wouldn't a full-fledged PS3 game take up a lot of storage? Have we ever seen this? I can think of Socom, Warhawk, and GT5P but those are different because they're multiplayer only/Glorified demo in the case of GT5P.

Hmmm. Yeah, I was just thinking the same thing.

Burnout Paradise was another one. A bit surprising nevertheless.

And it will probably feature that annoying copy protection that requires to be signed into PSN to launch the game.

Maybe they meant PS3 only rather than PSN and downloading it?

Regardless, I will wait for the summer and see what happens. More patient for this than GT5! :)

Would love a PSN release, I have only used a few gigs so memory is no issue.👍

Although it really depends on how much they charge for the PSN version.

Quick question, I just bought this off of srtgng and was wondering if I would get patches with my US account or if I needed a Euro one?

It will patch itself with your U.S. account 👍
I got it last fall and didn't play it again until a few weeks ago.
I had to wait for it to download and install the latest patches
before I could play.
