There's a lot of body-roll with the 250LM, so I tried everything on hard - springs, dampers, rollbars. It took the kurbs fine with this, so I stuck with it. I was struggling a bit on Monza though - TURNER had more grip through all corners, possibly with a softer setup. And also was killing me down the straights! I had default toe, so maybe it was too much negative camber.
Funny thing about collisions-off is, there still kind of are collisions!
It's because of their dynamic aerodynamics I think. It happens anytime the distance between the edge of two cars becomes less than zero (whenever two cars go inside one another). It looks like in this instance that the drag reaches its maximum value, rather than becomming zero.
So for example when two cars are approaching braking, one close behind the other and closing, the 2nd car will suffer drag. As the 2nd car passes into the 1st car, both cars' drag should stabalise at zero. But instead, it's as if both reach a maximum drag when within one another. This can cause both cars to completely overrun the braking.
