the weights may be off....i forgot to do some of them, ill fix them tonight.

And the points. I had 71 points after Round 6; and I still have them now. I think that bleurabbit is correct. Thanks for keeping track, br! If need be I can go back to my Round 5 spreadsheet and update it for both weeks since, if we need a triple check.

nooo!!!! i droped 2 places in the champ!!!!
allwell, i hope being 45kgs lighter will make a good difference for the next round. man going from second with only a couple points difference to being tied in 4th with yourlocal is a bad week for me. allwell. 3 more rounds. i might have lost my chances for the championship but i should hope for a top 3. :nervous:

hey bob... its -10, -20, -30, etc, units of ten

the increase is units of 15... 15, 30, 45 ;)

And since Duke and bleu have also been keeping track, I decided to jump into the mix...

See below....

i would have expected to be at 200 kgs for the next race. my bad ill only be 35 kgs lighter. did my math wrong. anyway i know im at 165 kgs.

its in incraments of 10 meaning you will be 30kgs less this week.

ylg... can you confirm how you gave 'extra' points to those who joined late? Since we all have pretty different results so far....

When he asked me to do it, we assigned the new competitors 2 points le4ss than the active last-place competitor.

thanks duke... that'll line mine up a whoel lot closer to bleu's results.... will just repost here and remove from above :)

OK, somethign is definitely amiss... YLG never published (to my knowledge) M31's results in rd.5. Also, I found out why I had a couple of points wrong... it was all because of the LAST-PLAST-ACTIVE-MINUS-TWO-POINTS thing, and, I also missed in which round theCracker joined us...

One thing I know for sure... is that you guys have boom carrying too much ballast.

My first round was at Hong Kong: round 5?

If that helps any

Ya, I got that.... I think now the only problem I am having is the round that M31 DIDN'T MISS, but there are no results for him posted anywhere.

The only thing I remember about that particular incident, is that everyone was given their points and ballast weight according to the results without M31. After that was settled M31 was given points and ballast based on his position amoung tha order. So whoever he displaced did not quite get what they were supposed to.

Anyways... thats all I remember... would be nice to know what his finishing position was.

I've got my spreadsheet from Rounds 3 and 4 cranked up, and I'll add in Round 5 when I get M31's results. I PMed him here and at GT3Times for that information.

Now, here's the problem. I don't have any real way to recreate the weights and points as they actually stand, after the various errors that have crept in.

Would anybody mind if I posted the weights and points as they should have been for Rounds 5-7, and we just use those corrected values going into Round 8 at El Capitan? I can do that shortly after M31 gets me his Round 5 results.

OK, not the way I wanted to spend my lunch hour and some company time, but here goes. It turns out there were points errors as far back as Round 4 due to some of the changes in drivers. In the next few posts I'll be adding the points and weights results round by round so people can follow.

Relocated here.

This was my report back then :

==========

Japanese Events
All Japanese GT Championship
Hong Kong
9 Laps

0 kilos weight penalty onboard

best lap 1:29.639
Total race time 13:48.984
on the race car: 137.8 km
on the practice car: 567.7 km

I did not get lapped ….. Tire ware does provide that extra spice to a race

If you need anything else please let me know

Note that quattro_bro is the first driver to actually have earned more than the maximum ballast wieght of 200kgs. His proper ballast for Round 8 should be 215kg, but the rules (and game) only allow 200kg, so his standings below reflect that number. The spreadsheet is keeping track, though, in case some further method is devised. Also, I suggest that any ballast removed by the REWARDS system should come off the correct number, not the 200kg number.

Some of the Championship points, both for individual drivers and teams, are correct but a bit oddball due to the "2 points behind active last place driver" ruling for incoming folks. So the RSX-s has more points than it really earned, and cars like the Civic-R and Accord-R have lost drivers later in the series and so are artificially losing points relative to the newcomers.

Thanks Duke! ;) I'll be sure to keep that in mind as I "sandbag" to try to shed some weight.

Seriously though, I'll just have to hope that I place in the top 6 from here on out so as to avoid that dilemma.

Well... Duke I agree with almost all of what you have posted... but I have gone over my info about 4-5 times, and the only thing I could not figure out was M31's points/penalty for rd 5 (or 4, I forget now)...

Two things that I know for sure; Q_B has 121 points, and I am running with a 175 kg penalty for week 8.

If it is Round 4 (the first round I had info for; this is when I took over for ylg and I just started from the current numbers at that point.

If I get a chance today I'll try to begin at the beginning, but I need to get some work done so I may not make it until the weekend.

If you like, I can send you my .xls file, and vice-verca I guess, I'll wait to hear back from you.

Mine is a single sheet, and involves a little more brute force than I would like, but I forget how to manipulate some of the formulae in excel.

No, thank you. I've got mine pretty well tuned up, though I'm glad to send it to you if you wish. There are a few oddities about the way you use it (Excel can't sort by VALUE function, for instance, so I have to do some copy/paste_special to get the numers and info organized).

I've reposted my complete results for everyone to review in a
new summary thread. If anybody sees errors, please let me know. Thanks, and I hope this helps, because it was a pain in the butt.

Ah I see what's making the difference... in RD.4 where M31 placed... it's a litttle complex....

I remember TLG stating that he was going to award everyone their pts and ballast penalties according to the results without M31.
BUT
M31 would still get full penalty for his actual finishing position.

So, in your results, everyone who technically finished behind M31 has lost 1 point, and their penalty if also off by one position value.

I am certain that if mine were adjusted to yours, or vice versa, we would have identical results.

Thanks for the hard work Duke! I sure know how much a pain in the ass it is do something so 'brute-forced'.... :)

Thanks for all the effort Duke and Link. I appreciate getting all of that stuff sorted out 👍 👍 👍

I hope you've still got some time left to actually race, Duke!
