Thanks boom. Of those that pitted, though, I was definitely not the fastest.

My fastest race lap was within 0.600 of my best practice lap, and I was pretty pleased with the 'cleanliness' of my race. No real contact issues to report, although I did brush the right wall after the final turn of lap 7 while allowing the Z plenty of room to pass (see below). Tire wear wasn't an issue as I pitted while they were still well in the yellow. [Almost] like Duke, I had very little experience pitting, but I thankfully did manage to check out the pit entrance during my practice runs. I was almost tempted to skip the tire change, but thought better when I remembered how FF cars handle on red front tires.
The Xanavi Nismo GT-R passed me in lap 7 early on the long straight--just downshifted and blew by me. I may have actually benefitted if I had only been in front of him.

The Motul Pitwork Z passed me on the left at the S/F at the end of lap 7 just before I started to work my way over to the left to set up for turn 1.
The rest of the field stayed back and was never heard from (well, I did hear them on the bridge). The first time I heard them there, I thought I was about to be passed, even though I knew there was no one right behind me. It kind of freaked me out and nearly threw off my braking for the hairpin left!
I had never been in a situation where I was lapped in GT4, so I guess I didn't really understand the rule regarding the ninth lap prior to the race. I was definitely caught off guard when my race ended after only eight laps!
