ok guys here is the run for fun race and read carefully i have a new/good idea that was given to me by one of the competitors.

NEW RULE: buy another car same kind same mods, same everything, use one car for RACING ONLY, use the other car for PRACTICE ONLY. report the milage to me via PM when submitting your race time for the week. MILAGE IS NOT TO BE DISCUSSED PUBLICLY, OR PRIVATELY. ANY DISCUSSION OF RACE VEHICLE MILAGE WILL RESULT IN A 10 PT. CHAMPIONSHIP PENALTY, AND MAXIMUM WEIGHT PENALTY ADDED TO YOUR CAR. this will help me keep track of weather or not you are really only running one time. remember feel free to practice any time you want in your practice car. keeping the milage down on the race car will also help to keep the field level.

Two questions:

1) Should we use our practice car for the spot race?
2) I'm assuming this one is just like a regular race (practice in free run as much as you want, but only run the 5-lapper once)?
 
use your practice car on this one because im not sure that EVERYONE is competing in this since it isnt a required race. and yes one race only.
 
Question.

In rule #6, you state that "All standard OLR rules apply".
Now this usually means that their are 2 tires on the track at all times, and rumble strips are part of the track.

Now in rule #8, you state that the race is to be only run one time.

What happens if we go off track, or hit an AI opponent in our one time race?

Clarification is needed please.
 
just try not to. be an honest racer, accidents happen that is why they call it an accident. contact is fine just dont run into a turn 20 mph too hot and use the AI to turn you. that is all i ask.
 
For what it's worth, the SCCA rule for going off-track is that you have to re-enter the track from the location you left the track at. If you wanted to play to the SCCA "spirit", then you could use this as a guideline.

Also, I don't know if anyone else is in this boat, but I have not yet unlocked the extreme conditions hall. I hope that there won't be too many events selected from there, since I'll have to take an automatic DNF on those races.

It's under Professional Event Hall. I think this one is unlocked from the start.

I also don't have Extreme Event Hall unlocked.

Oh, I know about the professionall hall. I was just mentioning it for future races.
 
Who in this comp. has any form of a replay device?
 
Running a few laps. I seem a bit out classed. Like I'm GT3 running in with GT2 cars. 200 spec points. It's gonna be hard to get to the front. They pull away on the straight, but I catch them in the corners.

Boom I don't have a replay device, but I should have a mem card I can mail you if necessary. I'll need it back, though, eventually.
 
i'll let it slide this once bleu, just dont race it again, until you are ready for your one run. and just a side note to all competitors, its OK if you dont come in first, i dont know if these cars outclass ours or not. If they do no big deal, they arent the ones we are competing against anyway right? :D

I do apologize. I know that the season is one run races. I just missed the fact that the exhibition was too. And since we're using the practice car, it threw me off. Speaking of which, when we submit our time, do we submit our milage also with the exhibition race? I mean it IS the practice car and all.

Duke, you are probably the most trustworthy person here on this board, like I'd ever need you to submit a replay.

My question was not pointed, it was just a simple question. :)

I suppose what I was getting at is that I will probably submit a replay of my lap/race (if it's possible) regardless if a replay is needed or not.


Luxy! Great to see you in the mix here. Unfortunately, you are a Div 1 driver in the WRS and I'm a Div 2 driver. I expect to see some weight added to your car. :sly:

Thanks Boom :) It's great to see you racing again.

As far as weight goes, we'll have to see ;) Lower-powered road cars are my favourite to drive, but I don't have very much FF experience. I think this'll be the first time I've OLR'ed an FF car with less than 400hp :dunce:

My DFP pedals are acting up (have to find my reciept :scared: ), so I think I might have to drive the first few events with a DS2 (not a pretty sight, I assure you :sly: )

@yourlocalgod: are we allowed to discuss T-Times? Lap times? What're the rules on this?
 
I have a Max Drive and NTSC Korean version of the game.
 
T-times sure, lap times, and race times no. and dontbother sending a replay, as i cant view it anyway. i'd love to see it, but i dont have a replay device.

Ok, cool :)

I've run about 45 mins of practice with my DS2 around Tsukuba, and so far I've got:

14.101
32.009

There's still some more to come off there (I've been up 0.100 on my ghost a few times). I think the DFP will help too with smoothness and controlling wheelspin.

How is everyone else's testing going?

I haven't taken the tiem to run practice on tsukaba yet ! I had better get my ass in gear.

In this series, I am putting my money on the Mazda 6 !

So you see that the IS300 is in fact eligible for this season, even if no teams are running it this year.

Also, how do our minimum weights relate to the published numbers up here? In general, the FWD cars get a weight advantage over the AWD and RWD cars, to offset the power deliver issues. Do your setups reflect this issue?

I'm really not trying to overcomplicate this at all; I just want to provide the information from the real series. If you've got the cars more or less equalized in lap times, that's all I need to know.

[edit] As you see, the Integra is still eligible to run as well. I also thought that the RSX only had a 2.0l engine, not the 2.4 they indicate. I'm assuming this is a typo, since there would be no advantage to running the TSX over the RSX without the increased displacement.
 
hmm, i was just basing it off of what teams were running. as far as weight and all that, i dont know all i know is that i ran all of these cars on 2 different tracks that i feel that i know equally well, and the 2 tracks are VERY different, from high speed straghts, and long sweeping turns on one, to sharp 90 degree turns and low speed short straights on the other, both myself and my Bspec midget were able to run all cars within a half a second of each of the cars (my laps were significantly faster than the midgets, but you get the point)

Didn't the IS300 have to decrease engine size to comply ? I though it originaly had a 3.0 flat 6 >?
