I'm not going to bother to take Physics until I get Calculus one and two out of the way. So that means Senior year. I can get more college credit with less effort that way.
 
About what I said earlier about their being seniors in my Geometry class, theres only like two(most seniors already have gotten all the points they need to graduate so they take classes that they have already taken and things like that, so that their classes are easier).
 
Well I start my senior year on Wednesday, and my schedule is looking pretty rough.

Basic Electronics
AP Chemistry
AP Chemistry Lab/Study Hall
Honors Economics
AP English
CHS Turbopascal
AP Calculus

Heh, wish me luck.
 
I start college tomorrow. I'm taking:
Principles of Accounting 10:00am-11:20am Tuesdays and Thursdays
System Analysis & Design 1:00pm-2:20pm Tuesdays and Thursdays
Managing A Windows Network 6:00pm-8:50pm Tuesdays

First time taking a night class.
 
Man, you're schedule is looking pretty full there Sublimedood. I just actually started my junior year today, schedules not too bad:

Precalc
Chem
Music Theory
Wind Ensemble
Jazz Band
US History
Honors English

Out of seven classes I have only 5 teachers, all of my music related ones are taught by the same person.
 
My degree is a BscTech (Bachelor of Science and Technology) in electronics.

I take
calculus1, discrete maths/linear algebra, physics, computer programming, and digital tech
 
Dude don't ask me how all that works I'm a Freshman, I'm new to all this High School stuff, I'm just stating the facts. But it's not like those Seniors are complete idiots or anything, they are actually very smart, they might be taking the class over again or something but I don't know.

Math Analysis with Trig (Pre-calc) Honors

I'm just worried about the homework. This year is going to suck.

Dude, I'm liek, taking the same math class as you (though you're two years my senior... ha ha, get the pun?!).

Anyway, as Tim, started school at VHS on August the 18th, and my class schedule is:
  • Cross Country
  • Honors English 10
  • Honors Pre-Calculus
  • Honors Chemistry
  • Modern Civilizations
  • Spanish 2
In theory, I should be taking AP European History, because Mod. Civ. is a cake walk (most of the kids in that class are nothing short of idiots), but you know that comment Tim made about way too much work...? Most of it is in AP Euro. Consider that they had to summarize/outline a 42-page chapter in the book this past weekend. I am not about to put myself through such torture, and I hate history anyway (the fact that students are required to take 3 years of history, but only 2 years of math is ludicrous!). So yeah... otherwise, I'm pretty much taking the highest classes that I can.

At least I get to start off my [academic] day in Honors English, with about the "perkiest" teacher on earth! :) And heck, she likes Ayn Rand, so that's a big plus for me. 👍
 
Bah. Our teacher is bubbly, I'll admit. As to your taking advanced classes, both of us could be taking physics. We're not, of course, because that would be a complete waste of time. Or at least that's my story. It's mostly true. That pun was absolutely horrible. Subtle manipulation of the meaning of sentences by using words with the correct connotations or usual use is so the way to go. Sadly, nobody gets those. I've stopped bothering.

My class line up, in order, is:
1.Algebra II/Trig
2.Ceramics I
3.History of St. Louis(yea, there is a class. Hehe)
4.Survey of American Literature
5.Japanese I
6.Academic lab(study hall...same for the whole school. Basically a whole block of boredom)
7.Chemistry II
8.Independant Sports/Fitness(I suck at team sports, so this is better for me).

Our school has block schedualing. A days and B days, alternating. So today was a B day, and I have blocks 5-8 on B-days. Tomarrow is an A-day, I have blocks 1-4.

Today actually went well. Japanese is easy enough, lab was the usual boring, chem was fun because we did a small lab and one of my friends who I was working with took this hose that was connected to a faucet and connected it to another part of the faucet, turned it on, blew the hose off, and water went everywhere(including my face, but it was just hilarious), and gym was kinda hard work, but doable. Better yet, to Mason's dissaproval(sorry man!), leaving school I got flicked off for no reason in the parking lot, I ignored the guy, and as I headed towards my turn onto the highway type road where I go flat out(as does everyone really), I had too much speed built up in the 323, I made a hard turn at about 35mph on offcamber warn out pavement, all 4 tires screamed, I floored it and took off, making it up to about 86mph before going on the bridge over I-270(from the turn onto the highway like road, it's a gradual uphill, not much of an angle though, but a hill none the less) where I had to slow down(cause of traffic coming from the highway). It was a lot of fun, and the 3 didn't skip a beat. Though I won't do that everyday...

You should have thrown a brick through his windshield if he had a car.

Once a kid who thought he was a hardass asked me what the **** I was staring at because I was looking at his green Jeep Cherokee as I walked to my car. I told him I was looking at the Jeep he bastardized by putting 18 inch chrome wire wheels on it, and he started yelling more profanity so I just ignored him. A few weeks later me and a few kids from shop took care of his wannabe dubs with some bolt cutters. :ouch:
 
See, I don't remember my schedule being this "smart" i remeber my schedule being like this (freshman year)

1- Intro to tech(shop)
2- pre-algebra
3- english 09
4- study hall
5- world history
6- F.A.S.T science-some special program form our school.
7- lifetime sports

See, mine was like a special-ed schedule compared to you upcoming freshman...

We have a Special Ed department at our school. "They" don't have classes, they stay in the same room all day. Then they come out at lunch and mumble to themselves. And run around screaming at nothing. Of course.

Heh, the teachers call it the resource room when I was there.

In Biology during my sofmore year, There was a special ed kid there...He'd always get angry If I called it the "sped shed" or the "sped shack" like he would throw fits of rage...


When i see more mentally challenged people worse off than me...It makes me feel better about myself.:p

I don't think it would be even possible to take Precalculus in 10th grade in my school. Unless you somehow took Geometry and Algebra 1 in Freshman. Then Algebra 2 and Precalc in Sophomore. But you need to complete Algebra 2 before you can even take Precalc. ARGH!

I want to go to your school because Math is by far the easiest subject ever.

It's not fair!
 
There's also just 1 special ed room in my school...the kids are mostly in wheelchairs and have...what was it called...well anyway they all have powered wheelchairs and sometimes you can hear em passing by a room in a group, sounds like a Formula 1 race.

Josh...I was driving behind him, not tailgating or anything. I should have done a pit manuver as he turned onto a different part of the lot but I'm sure the 323 would get hurt. :)
 
In my county, unless you are promoted a few classes early or skip a grade, you can't take precalc in 10th. I'm taking it in 11th this year, I think that is the earliest you can take it. Sage, what are you planning to take as a senior?

Same with me here. Quite frankly, I'm pretty surprised how smart everyone is here.
 
I started yesterday. Freshman in High School. All boys. Private.

Aside from the usual picking on of Freshmen, the school's like a big family. And a lot of the teachers and faculty are really cool people.

It's gonna be fun. Plus, an all-girl school usually comes to all the football games, dances, parties... and we have a Senior Prom with them also.
 
My Social Studies teacher in 8th grade said that he wanted to go to Mississippi State University but it was to far away so he had to go to some college like Mississippi College for Women or something of that nature. He said that there was plenty of women to go around, and some of the students said that it wouldn't have mattered since he couldn't get a woman if he tried.
