I'm really getting more of a Celica vibe off than an AE86 vibe.
Who makes the flywheel/clutch/transmission? Because flywheels and clutches are important mods also.

explain how and why
It is a pretty easy. The original Celica was a 4 cylinder sports coupe, while the AE86 was more of a hotted hatch of the Corolla.
Wasnt talking to you I was asking to hear astrosdude91 thoughts on the subject thats all
I am aware of the AE86 and the original celica.
Well you asked a question on a public forum, congrats.
It seems i revived this thread.
You have no posts on the last four pages. WTF are you on about?
lololol - Laugh out loud out loud out loud....wtf? Honestly....
I'd love to see a GT300 inspired BRZ from STi, would be very very tempting...
1. I said "like Honda did with the type r". Honda's type r models always have factory tweaks to make them lighter, like no sound deadening among other things.
2,3. I saw a lot of people saying they wanted AWD and turbo on this car, I was just saying how I would prefer something different.
200kg is a lot to me, the car I drive now is 1130kg and sometimes I'd still prefer something lighter and smaller like my AE86 used to be.
What do you called the BRZ that is gonna be in the gt300 thats been talked about through this thread.. seriously.
My appologies if I misunderstood.I believe he means a tuned car inspired by the GT300 car (Kinda like how Honda did with the HONDA NSX-R Road car) .
If he is reffering to the GT300 car then yes, he does need to read the last few pages or at least reffer to the video that was posted.

Most of the parts on the GT300 cars are sold. I've seen a few Corolla's here in Tokyo with very very similar parts as the GT300 Corolla's. I've read the companies that make the kits sell them a few years afterwards as aftermarkets.
You don't believe that these parts:

Will fit this:

Do you?
I can't tell if your serious or not. But yes, the whole body would be modified... And the Japanese Corolla's are a bit different in styling than the US ones. If that's what you are getting at.
I think he's implying that it would take more to re-engineer a GT300 Corolla from a road Corolla than it would to build the GT300 car from scratch - like they almost certainly did.
The same applies to the GT-86. I very much doubt the race car shares more than a handful of parts (headlights, the roof panel - maybe not even those) with the road car. It's not as simple as stapling on a few more aggressive panels.
You should maybe reword your posts better than the one that I originally quoted then.
But of course Honda's Type R's have factory tunes to make them lighter. There's a MAJOR difference between the Civic and a FR-S/BRZ. The fact that a Civic is originally an economy car, and that the FR-S/BRZ is originally a sports coupe. It's already lightened to fit the purpose, the Civic is not. It could have been much heavier as well.

Here's a guy with a SC430 styled like that of the Super GT car.
That is a Supra, by the way. With a carbon custom made kit that seems to sit horribly on a bad stance.
Personally, I hope Toyota uses the lesson from this car and the LFA and creates a new Supra.
Incidentally, since Toyota is hinting that a Supra revival could be on the cards, can people stop asking for more power in the Toyobaru now?![]()
